You're invited to the 9th NEPA Stamp & Swap, a day of stamping, friendship & fun! There's a lot planned & a few new things so please read everything below & if you still have questions, don’t be afraid to ask.
THEME: "Joy to the World" It's NOT mandatory to use the theme.
COST: $25.00 includes the venue & a gift bag. All funds will be spent on the event.
REGISTRATION: Registration & payment options are on the attached form. You will be added to the list once payment is received. There are no refunds once the event is closed but you may offer your spot to someone. Attendees limited to 25. If all spots are filled before the deadline, we may close it early to finalize numbers & start creating. There will also be a wait list if necessary.
COMMUNICATION: On Splitcoaststampers (SCS), go to "Forum" then "Get it Together". This will be the main way of communicating including the final numbers & information for the event. Please subscribe, check-in often & chat! Several of our gift bag donors follow SCS & like to see the chatter.
ARRIVAL TIME: Doors open at 8:45 to give you time to set-up & socialize. We will begin lightening round introductions at 9:45 to start stamping by 10:00.
MANDATORY SHOEBOX PROJECT GUIDELINES:·
A full card with QUALITY cardstock (CS) layers & embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item.
Projects should take NO MORE THAN 5-10 minutes to complete. Please keep it simple (sometimes less is more). Timing yourself while making your shoebox maybe helpful.
Bring all the supplies to complete your project including any special adhesive & tools.
Please make kits which are very helpful. Supplying envelopes or sleeves are optional.
You need to pre-cut & score the cardstock.
To reduce the time of your project, you can punch, die cut or emboss but DO NOT pre-stamp.
Please bring a few extra parts to fix any "oopies".
Projects will be set out in the morning. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not.
Post clear directions with your project unless it’s very obvious what to do. Include your name.
During introductions, you will VERY, VERY BREIFLY explain reminders or anything NOT in your directions. If your project needs directions but you are unable to print or handwrite them, please contact Lou Ann.
You will need to bring THREE completed shoebox projects; one is a sample for your project at your table, one is placed on the display board for the hostess & one is for our church sponsor, Deb King, who is not a stamper.
Please DO NOT sit at ashoebox project if you are not working on it. There are empty tables available & sitting at a project may prevent someone from getting that project completed.
Your project supplies must stay at the event until the end. If you must leave, make arrangements for someone to pick it up.
When you know what your shoebox project is, please post a name for it on SCS or send me a PM.
Tips:·
Consider doing the part(s) of a project that have to be done at the event (stamping, embossing & die cutting), take a photo of the sample then assemble later during the event or at home.
Towards the end of the event, if you’re done consider offering to help those who are behind.
When briefly leaving a project, it may be helpful to leave something on the table to indicate it’s in use.

GIFT SWAP (optional):·
Bring a gift related to stamping; Everyone who brings a gift to swap will leave with one.
Value should be in the $15-$20 range.
Stamped handmade projects are appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect!
Include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank.
Wrap it up pretty so it’ll be a surprise until we’re done swapping.
EMBOSSING AREA: We will have areas set up with a heat tool & 2 Big Shots for embossing & die cutting so no need to bring your own. You will need to bring the embossing powders for your project with a tray/paper plate, etc. or embossing folders/dies for your project.
NAME TAGS: Since we all want to make new friends, please bring a name tag & include your SCS name if you have one. Stamped handmade name tags are beautiful & fun to see how creative we can get but we will have generic name tags available too.
GARAGE SALE: Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin' Up! items must be offered for trade only but you can sell retired items. There is a limited amount of room so please only bring 1 tote. There will be chairs to set your tote on. Make sure you label your items and tote with your name so buyers know who to pay. Payment arrangements are between you & the buyer(s). We are not responsible for missing items so bring at your own risk. There is no fee to sell or trade at this event.
OTHER:
Label your personal stamping tools which you may use including scissors, bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straightedge, etc.
Bring LOTS of your favorite adhesive.
Bring something to place finished project in & baggies/envelopes to put unfinished projects in.
Sorry to miss this and y’all again! We’ll be leaving for TX two daysI after this so I will be packing and in full blown panic mode. A six hour round trip to PA before a six or seven day trip in a car…
I gave your post a like but I really don't! Enjoy Texas!
Hey girls, I just want to say that you all make this such a fun event and we’re already excited and looking forward to a day of stamping with you! I think I might even sign up for all of the swaps this year. 😬

I can't remember if I mention this but we only have 4 swaps this year because the quilt & fun fold cards can take a little more time. A lot of us sign up for everything so this should make it a little easier.
Also in case anyone notices, I didn't officially sign up to attend but I will be there. I figured it would open another seat up for someone to attend plus I don't have much time to stamp. I will be doing a card kit for everyone to take home. I will probably sign up for a swap or 2.
I signed up for the recipe swap specifically for that recipe Diane. I went down a quilt card rabbit hole. I have saved and watched a bunch of videos on YouTube for quilt cards already. And I think I have my fun fold too, which is half my battle. The other half is picking out a stamp. Excited to see everyone in November.

are the quilted cards cut w/ paper cutter or dies?
can I make an odd size- if I include an envelope?

Gayla, you can either hand cut the paper or use a die. I've done it both ways. I usually run the hand cut card fronts through an embossing folder before adding to the card base.
As far as the size goes, I'd try to stick to the A2 but if its anything other than an A2, including an envelope would be best. Hope this helps.
