Not to be picky or anything- but I know that I won't eat the chicken salad or my sister. What about having the croisants and a variety of lunch meat- like a buffet- make your own sandwich.
Also Schrades- I have Kay's registration here and will be mailing it this week. Sorry for the delay- been sick- I was coughing so bad they tested me for whooping cough- that wasn't pleasant at all.
Please let me know if you need anything. What about ordering Pizza? I have those pizza hut cards to get the second pizza free!!
Sorry for being Picky! Elizabeth

Yikes! No cannibals allowed...even if they are awesome stampers!
Seriously...they are all good ideas, the build-your-own sandwich, the pizzas...maybe we could all sign up to bring something--chips and dip, or veggies, or fruit tray, and maybe crackers and cheese, and I am certain someone has a killer meatball or cocktail weenie recipe. And I know you all have unbelievable dessert recipes to share as well.
When Tracy (AZMommy) held her shoebox in Madison, we each signed up to bring something in addition to the sub sandwiches that she purchased, and it worked out nicely. (We all ate waaaaaay too much, but the food was yummy!)
Not to upset the applecart if plans are already underway...just trying to think of how we can all be accommodated.
Personally, I have been on Nutrisystem for three weeks (not going very quickly...only down 4 pounds in three weeks) and none of the above items really fit into the meal plan. I was just going to 'cheat' for one or two meals on Saturday at the Northwoods Gathering to treat myself. (Because I'm hoping that by the next two weeks, I've lost more than 4 pounds.)
But hey--I'm coming first for the stamping, second for the laughter, and third for the food. Oh, wait--third for the chocolate. Yeah, then the food.
:p

Quick question.
Do we bring a tool kit (example: scissors, tape, etc.) for ourselves and carry it with it us project to project or do we bring tape, scissors for with our shoebox project and leave it there?

My experience from previous shoebox swaps has been that you bring your own adhesive and carry it with you. If the shoebox project requires scissors, or a punch, or an eyelet, the tools for completing that part of the project are usually at that 'box' with the stamps and inks, etc.
Most participants do bring their own cropper hopper or tool bag, though...just in case.
HTH--

What are the times for the event again? We are going to drive up Saturday morning and I want to make sure we have plenty of time to get there - I don't want to MISS ANYTHING!!!
Everyone else- If you are staying over Saturday Night and not Friday- try to request an early check in. I am checking in at NOON for no extra charge that day. I am sure it would make things easier for you.

Ann- My group of ladies are all staying over Saturday night. I know that we aren't planning to stamp afterwards- probably hit the whirlpool if it's still open! You're more than welcome to tag along with us- I know Shrades said something about a fire pit a while back but it's SOOO COLD! Suppose to be a little nicer this weekend but we have a covering of snow here in Marshfield! I will plan on bring a snack type food- the kids just love it when I get in a cooking mood.

Hi everyone,
last night I was working on my individual swap[I want all my stuff done before we leave on fri] and it started out simple enough, I got the paper cut and I stamped the image and then I thought this sure would look pretty with some embossing!
so I get that done and think what would it look like if I distressed the edges?
it looks pretty[makes a huge mess] I clean up the paper dust and go to bed thinking I'll assemble tonight.
I'm laying in bed and I start thinking about sponging. and decide it's to late in the process for that and fall asleep.
now I start dreaming of all the things I could do to make it better, and I must tell you the best things happen in dreams and this mornings results are beautiful! I can't wait till you all see!!!
wow I'm so glad it's almost time!
how are you all doing with your swaps?

if you don't talk to your cat about catnip who will?
Thank you Kathie for another great afternoon of Stamping Fun!!! It was very nice and everyone had such great card ideas - the sets and the colors were all great!!!
Thanks Again! Can't wait till next year and neither can my girls, they had soooo much fun at the waterpark!!! Maybe we should have another in Spring!!!
Well ladies- I talked to some of you about doing a SCRAPBOOKING GATHERING & SWAP. I was just wanted to do see who would be interested- It would consist of everyone designing a two page layout for 12 by 12 scrapbooking. I would have you sign up for a specific theme- so we all don't make boy pages or Christmas pages. I was thinking that if we got over 25 people (cut off at 50) we would pre make some. I would probably start it earlier (like 10am) and provide lunch and snacks. Of course I can't say for sure- this is just what I am thinking- I am just trying to see if there are enough people interested to try and get this going.
I live in Marshfield WI and am very close with the pricipal at my kid's elementary school (we got a brand new school this year) and could probably get them to let us use the gym and tables for FREE. We could actually make it a fund raiser for the Madison Elem. School Playground (we could only move one piece of equipment from the old school) (or for the United Way or something like that).
Anyways- one of the ladies who just started coming to our PTO meetings is a manager at the Super 8 and I am sure we could get a great deal if anyone wanted to stay over.
Just PM or email me if you are interested or have suggestions!
GREAT MEETING ALL YOU LADIES!

Jodi, I started a "feedback/thank you" thread in this forum for all of us to post our thanks to Kathie for organizing such a great event.
It was fun meeting everyone...if you have a moment, go to the "feedback" thread for Northwoods and say a big "THANK YOU" to schrades!

Did everyone who attended last year see the new thread under gatherings?
Look for Updated Northwoods Gathering Info - July 10th, 2007. Kathie has agreed to host it again and it is planned for Oct. 13 at Cedar Creek Lodge - this will be the 4th. Northwoods Gathering. Hope to see you all there.
