Thanks for letting me know. :0) That's odd. I wonder what I did wrong. :0( I'll try one, so I don't take up all that room again & if it works, I'll add the rest:
BLUSH! Thanks Ladies! I've been having SO much fun. The latest whacky thing I did was even messier but fun too. Spread gesso on the back of glossy cs, colour it and then cuttlebug it. Looks all crackly or aged kinda. I can't stop myself, heehee :0)
I obviously haven't read through every post on this thread. However, I am getting my CB for Christmas and have to say how excited I am!!! This thread is going to be a valuable tool.
I picked up some embossing folders on the CreativePlayStamps website at an awesome price so now I just need the CB.

I've been playing with the Maple Leaf die cut, brayers, sponges, etc etc today (will post when finished). And then I found this lovely card on today's gallery. It is a lovely fall farm scene stamped on the leaf shape. I don't know if she used the Cuttlebug Maple Leaf die cut but I'm assuming we could (we Cuttlebug lovers that is).... I just got a Cuttlebug for my birthday. I had to try it right away and it worked great for embossing but when I tried to use it to cut I couldn't get it to go through the machine. I swear it will break if I push any harder. Any ideas?
I think I misunderstood what I received with the machine. It said embossing folder/die and so I thought they could be used for both. This is incorrect, right?

The stacks are different for different brands and types of dies. For Cuttlebug brand dies, you'll use A-B-Die-Paper/Cardstock-B. For Nestabilities or other Spellbinder brand dies, you'll use A-C-Die-Paper/CArdstock-B. Sizzix Sizzlit dies use the same stack as the Cuttlebug brand dies. Sizzix Bigz or Originals just use B-Die-Paper/Cardstock-B - no A plate needed.
Also, when I first got my Cuttlebug and when I use brand new plates, it makes all sorts of snapping and popping noises! Scared me to death the first few times I used it! The cranking action can be pretty firm at first, too. But if it seems MORE than firm - almost impossible - chances are your sandwich stack is too thick. If you're using a C plate, put a B plate in it's place and try it again.
Just to make sure, what I have is a piece of plastic folded in half, it is not a flat plate.
I tried using A,B,folder and paper, C and it would not go through. I then switched B for C and it went through but didn't cut all the way through.
Is there somewhere that I could go to try one out? I have no problems with the embossing.
Thanks ladies.

I have the same issue, I just use the B plate instead and it works fine. I have had mine for about 6 months and I still cannot use C.
