You know those cute little boards (movie clapper boards or MCB's) that are used in movie scenes? Well, WE are going to make our own! Use my sample with measurements or make you own preferred size. I also found a way cool website where you can generate your very own personalized MCB. Here's the link: Personalize a Movie Clapper Board[/SIZE][/SIZE] (FYI: the MCB Generator provides a sample, the amount of words used in the sample depicts the # of characters that you can use on each line...with the exception of Production & Camera Lines.)
Use the MCB as a small file folder with journaling inside or use several to detail a series of photos...Just be sure to get some takes into your layout!
Measurements for the Movie Clapper Board used on my page are 3.25" X 3.79". I printed the Board at this size to use it on my page. You can adjust your MCB to any size you desire.

JULVSBNC GHOST
Here is the last challenge for TONIGHT!!! DO NOT FORGET TO JOIN US IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!
�In the romantic yet dramatic movie Ghost, Demi Moore had a ghost around her all the time, but she couldn't ever see this ghost until the very end. We are going to go for the same thing in our scrap booking now!
Use your glossy white card stock and Versa Mark/Watermark/white ink pad to stamp a bold/solid image randomly all over your card stock. (You may even emboss the images with crystal clear or white embossing powder, but it's not necessary. To make sure the image(s) are dry, you can run a heat gun over it.) Then take different or one color(s) of ink(s) and sponge OR brayer them randomly all over your stamped "ghost" images until they begin to appear! Wipe off excess ink with a paper towel or tissue over your ghosts so that they show up better. Optional: You can then use darker inks to stamp additional images in between your "ghost" images for added interest and attach to your layout!! *Be sure to look at the samples for inspirational ideas!* I will be looking for the "Ghost with the MOST" on your layout!! So go on...don't be afraid! Make some ghosts appear in YOUR scrap booking! ACTION!�

JULVSBND 10am Saturday Challenge AJCASTLE

As we all know, Curious George is a crazy little trouble making monkey who just cannot resist getting into or doing things he just shouldn't do! That is what this challenge is all about! Let�s scrap those photos of our children, pets, Special others, ect. getting into or doing something they KNOW they shouldn't be doing. Hands in the cookie jar, sneaking food before dinner is ready, getting into Mom's makeup, ect. Also, include in your journaling on what they are doing that they shouldn't.
Second must to this challenge is EMBELLISH! I am an embellishment JUNKIE and love, love, love all kinds of embellishments on my pages. They can be hand made, store bought, ribbon, brads, you name it! But you MUST use some on your pages. I have found (and know many of you feel the same that it is hard to part with our beloved embellishments (especially those metal ones!) but here is your chance to let them shine! If anyone asks you can tell them I MADE you use them! LOL!
Third must are hidden elements. Since people are curious by nature lets give them something to be curious about. Have photo's that open to reveal journaling, or other photos, ect. Pull outs of journaling, ect. Have fun with it. I do this because I like more room on my pages for my embellishments. But I also can't bear to part with any of my photos....so I hide some!
Ok, so your requirements for this challenge are:
1. Use photos of Children, pets, SO, ect. getting into or doing something they shouldn't 2. use EMBELLISHMENTS...the more the better! 3. Hidden elements
Also if you would like to earn extra points, I LOVE using oversized photos (5x7 and larger). Use these in your layout only for EXTRA points. These are not a requirement, but I would love to see how you would incorporate them into a layout.

What are your favorite things that bring a smile to your face? Maybe you love the smell of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, the feel of the summer sun on your face while baking on the beach or you love to collect Stampin� Up stamp sets. The little things you love are an important part of your life. Take this opportunity to highlight simple things that make your life special.
My challenge for you is to do a page or double page spread of your favorite things. You do not have to have photos. It could be a page with just journaling. Please when uploading your layout please include your journaling because the journaling will be considered when choosing the winners.

The movie Cheaper by the Dozen is a wonderfully cute family comedy.
And, as the title of this challenge implies, you have to use a 'dozen' PHOTOS on your layout!!
I would suggest a DPS
'Cheaper by the Dozen Scrappin' is a quick and easy way to get lots of photos from one event scrapped. Get creative, but I should be able to count 12 photos on your page somewhere.
Bonus points: I will award bonus points for using a pocket of some type and tag/tags.

"Film Noir"
The cinema term "Film Noir" refers to certain films that were made around 1940 through the mid-1950�s. The films were full of dark images, lots of criminal activity, and the characters were femme fatales and smoking men. Visually, the settings were often dark night scenes in the city: dimly lit rooms with Venetian blinds, rain-slicked city streets, and many other murky, dismal locations. Almost all of the Film Noir movies were in black and white (although, some color films also evoke the feeling of "film noir" and they are sometimes called "neo Noir").
Your challenge, as director, is to create a scrapbook memory that either: 1. includes only black & white photos (embellished as you wish)
OR 2. includes color photos but only black and white papers & embellishments on the page
If your photos are full of dark images, criminal activity and curling cigarette smoke, you�ll fit right in. If you don�t have such photos, please join us anyway J and have fun directing and producing this project.
My winners will be picked according to the following criteria: 1. Most beautiful interpretation of "Film Noir" category 2. Most creative interpretation of "Film Noir" category

JULVSBNH - Lilo and Stitch
Challenge: Lilo & Stitch-ing Director: StephStamps
�.and I�m not talking about experiment 626. My challenge to you is to do a page using either traditional sewing, or faux stitch. You can even cross stitch! I don�t care just as long as there are holes with thread, or holes connected with a pen.
To faux stitch you need the paper piercing tool and template from the crafters tool kit, or a push pin and mouse and something to help you space wholes evenly. You will also need a gel pen (SU! White gel works the best) Some people have even said a fine tip marker works well. You punch holes in a line and then you connect the dots. To make my example, I used my sewing machine with out thread to punch the holes, and then I connected the dots.
You can make these stitches perfectly straight, crooked, or whimsical. The possibilities are endless, so get creative! If you use choose to use your sewing machine, try using the different stitches.
NOTE: When connecting the dots, don�t worry if you let your pen slip a little, it looks like a stray thread, and adds character.
Get creative, and get started! You only have 2 hours!!!!

GOOD FRIENDS and a MAP (crooks, caves, skeletons are optional but encouraged)

Walk the Line
Are you ready for a fun sketch challenge! We all love scrapbook sketches, so we�re going back to the basics of the scrapbook sketch! For this challenge, you will use lines to make a grid sketch to create your layout. You can choose from a six-square or nine-square grid sketch. Each of the squares will be a �home� for a photo, journaling, or embellishment�..but not ALL of the squares can be for a photo! Be sure to include journaling or some type of embellishment for one or more of the grid squares.
Feel free to do either a one or two page layout. If you choose to do a two page layout, only one of the pages has to be a grid sketch (the other page can be whatever you want!). You must include photos, journaling, and a title!
Bonus points for creatively adding your title!
Don�t forget, you have to finish your one or two page layout in under two hours.

This challenge has nothing to do with flying or birds or airplanes. "Gonna Fly Now" is the theme song for our next feather film: Rocky, the story of Rocky Balboa in which a small time boxer gets a once in a lifetime chance to fight the heavyweight champ in a bout and he strives to go the distance for his self-respect.
Your Challenge for this production: Have pictures of rocks on the page or a rock or stone or shell (even the little glass pebbles or Crystal Effects) on the page somewhere. Bonus Challenge: Use actual rocks on the page.

Do you remember Tom Cruise tossing around all those liquor bottles and throwing them in the air??? That is one of my favorite Tommy movies!! So let's get in the 'Cocktail' mood!!!
Here is a BONUS challenge for you!! If you are ahead of the VSBN game and all caught up, or if you want an extra challenge to do before the deadline, I'd LOVE for you to take my challenge!! Maybe you don't have pictures to go with one of the other challenges, and you're at a loss....well, jump right in and do the 'Cocktail' challenge!!!!!
Every year we enjoy some terrific parties with family and friends! Your challenge is to design/create a page or layout around a fabulous party!! It can be for a birthday, anniversary, pool party, family reunion a shower, a graduation....the list goes on!!

Whether you�ve seen the old classic movie or not, it�s time to brainstorm all of the nicknames you use for your loved one, whether it be a child, a pet, a husband, boyfriend etc. Don�t let those cute little �terms of endearment� be forgotten over time. Write all of them down or just a few favorites and spend a few moments journaling about the special relationship you have with that person or pet. Use your list of �terms of endearment� as a background, a border, put them directly on your photo, like my sample, or whatever you can think of! Be creative in using them. When it comes to the winners, I�ll be looking for some meaningful journaling (please post it in your description), and you�ll get bonus points for using an enlarged picture (or if you don�t have one, put some extra matting around your focus picture to make it stand out more). And I have to admit, I�m a sucker for really great looking titles! Have fun thinking about your loved one as you tackle this challenge!

Be creative; tell a story with the pictures. There does not have to be journaling on the page at all. Let the pictures tell us.

Your final challenge of the night is in honor of the legendary movie displaying the comic genius of Bill Murrary - STRIPES!
That's it ladies, show me your stripes!
The challenge is to complete a layout using predominately stripes in colors that accent your pictures (this is a must). Solids are welcome as an accent only. Please also use two different types of striped embellishments. In depth journaling is a must!
Bonus Points earned for... Combinations of different stripe patterns A red, white or blue layout with a USA theme A picture of Bill Murray (must fit the general theme of the layout)
