WOW! Our 4th month of 2009 Scrappin' Goal Challenge! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in January, February & March and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together this month!
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages last month! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
With that in mind, I thought I would invite all of you to April Scrapbook Challenge! Oh what fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends.
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for April. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for March if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Money spent on Adhesive and Printing Pictures is not included in the monthly scrapping budget. We'll count pages 7x7 & up = 1 page for 1 page completed, 6x6 & smaller = 2 pages for 1 page completed.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2009 Scrapbook Challenge! Woohoo for April! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want extra $$ for the holidays. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. I decided it would be easier to split from the page goal posts. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

YAY! Way to go Scrappy Sisters! Time to move on to the next round. The next round begins on Saturday, 04/18 and runs through midnight Sunday, 04/26. In this round there are 16 Challenges. The challenge is for you and your partner to do all 16. You get 5 points for each challenge completed. You cannot get "duplicate" points for both completing the same challenge unless all 16 are done. For instance, if one partner does 1-8 and the other scrappy sister does 9-16, each of you would get 40 points. If one partner does 1-10 and one does 11-16 then #1 would get 50 points and #2 would get 30 points. If together you complete all 16 challenges, then any duplicates would count for both of you. Each partner must do a minimum of 4 of the challenges to count. Each page must be 7x7 or larger. All pages must be "new" completed after 04/18. You may start and layout the pages immediately but they must be completed after 04/18. Digi pages are allowed but not more than 3 per person, unless all 16 challenges are completed then 5 per person will count.

Wow! What an organization job! Gotta feel good to have it all re-organized and back in ready for April Scrappin'! Welcome back. Let me know if you want me to update your YTD total. It's ok if it's before the goal thread, it's fun to keep track for the year! ;)

I'll sign up for 20 pages again this month, which shouldn't be an issue at all with the baby books I'm making. Forget the budget option though  DH is leaving on Saturday and will be gone for about 7 weeks, so maybe I'll get a whole lot done while he's gone. Here's hoping!
I am in for April... I am shooting for 10 pages kinda high knowing I have so much homework but also no boyfriend anymore so should open more time..
FYI-
I completed my goal for March plus 10 extra for a total of 20!! YEAH me I am almost caught up to date!!
Woo Hoo, it's April. Summer is on it's way though it may not seem like it for some people. I think I will shoot for 15 since I have to share the Computer/scrap room with dh now.

Year Goal 8/30 Aug 5/8
Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.
I'm going to stick with 15 for April again. I'm sure I'll get most of these done during the March Madness push, but I don't want to aim too high! Here's to another great month!
I'm going for 30 pages again. March Madness has had me working thru my stash so I may need some stuff by the end of April. I'll try to only spend $25 though.
Hey Lela, I'm in for 25 pages this month. My YTD = 60 completed so far.
This challenge has really been an inspiration to me. I've gotten some older albums completed and my sweet DS's baby book too! Now I'm off to start Disney!
Thanks for a motivating venue I can go to, Lela! You're the best.
And thanks to all the ladies who post great challenges every week! The ideas you post are an inspiration to me expecially when I'm sitting at that table staring at pictures and thinking "What in the world should I do with them". So Thanks!
I am going to shoot for 10 pages this month...might go over since we are still doing March Madness and I've got to kick butt to stay in this thing, (I think)!
Put me down for 20 again this month. Last month was a good one with 44/20 for me! But I better stick to 20 as a goal! And I will be using stash only as I plan on cleaning my craft room. Last time I did that it was like shopping! Good job on all your pages everyone!

I am sticking with my plan to have my goal match the number of days in the month-It feels so good to always be working ahead!! So for April 30 pages and I am already almost half way there-which I supposed is not how I should really be playing the game-but this way makes me feel so accomplished-the one area of my life where I am ahead of the game:mrgreen:

I'm in for five pages this month since I've got a newborn now. Hoping to do more, but don't know if that'll happen just yet. No budget though. I did manage to get my 8 done for last month and have 56 of my 120 year goal done.
Well I'm in again - even though I failed in March. So that means I have to double up this month. Put me down for 16 and I'm still trying to work with my stash.
