I also stamp a group of cards at a time. I try to get a theme going, so if I have a couple of birthdays coming up, I make a stack of the same card. It also helps if you have a limited amount of time...

I trim my stickers and place them on the block first, then trim and mount the rubber. I too hate having sticker overlap and prefer to trim them. I trim close enough to leave the copyright.
