I use a rubber eraser to take sticky residue off my scissors and blades, especially with 'Be Creative' / Sookwang tape. That stuff is ultra-clingy. Proper maintenance goes a long way!

Lead is sometimes added to steel to improve it's machining qualities, but since dies are etched (a chemical process) rather than physically cut, there's no reason why lead would be a useful additive....

Sounds like the solvent in the Copics is reactivating the stamped ink. If heat setting doesn't fix the issue, you probably can't use that ink pad with alcohol based markers.
