Instead of taping each ink pad shut, I wrapped a stack of pads with the stretch wrap you can buy at U-haul or the big box stores-no sticky residue.

I use "clip" art all the time. I've found that passing my heat gun over the printed image for a few seconds keeps the ink from bleeding when water coloring. I dont use a great deal of water.
