I have same solution as ciocidi. My top plate B has been used for years and years and is thoroughly scratched. When it gets bent a bit, I just turn it over for awhile

When printing on vellum I use the "mirror image" choice on my printer and adhering the vellum print side down. Less chance of smudging.
