I love Make The Cut (MTC) you can use it to cut stored fonts and from JPG images, which has given me some unique cuts for birthday cards etc.

Can you see the blade dropping down ready to cut?

To use an SVG file you need a third party software, SCAL or Make the Cut (MTC).
I can only go on the software I have MTC, that you can cut many types of files besides SVG. I don't know about SCAL.

Makes it hard when half the world is metric and the other half imperial LOL although US scientists use metric.
