One thing to remember when colouring the shrink plastic is: whatever colour you choose, once it has been shrunk it will be darker and more intense.

What I did, was I carefully unfolded envelopes in a range of sizes, traced them onto card stock and cut them out. Now when I want to have an envelope in a matching paper, I use the card stock ones...
