I'd suggest using a marker to ink the outside of the stamp. If you were stamping on a card, you could always use the 3/4 inch punch and put a circle of cardstock over it.

I just saw a really great sample with Tempting Turquoise and Gable Green. It was quite the interesting combination.

Almost Amethyst is one of my favorites.

I really love this year's simply scrapping kits. The punch outs and borders are self adhesive. They also coordinate with stamp sets so you can extend the kit even more.
