I'm with Lynn! It never even crossed my mind to actually measure precisely. I too just lay it where I think it looks good and then mark it with a pencil - then I cut.

I can't live without my bone folder. I use it to score the center of the card, and then use it to create a nice crisp fold. Also, since I like using Aleene's glue, I use it to smooth out the glue.
