I have never owned a cuttlebug but do own a bigshot. My sister owned a cuttlebug and came over and tried my bigshot. Her cuttlebug went up for sale on ebay and she switched to the bigshot.

I start with buying the multi-color pack of paper and if something jumps out at me when I start using them then I will buy the ink pad.

I have found Birthday and Thank you cards are something that everyone always seems to need. But when in doubt making something generic that can be used for all occasions is pretty safe.

I, too, had this problem. I now use an old mouse pad flipped picture side down when piercing. The pad is longer than the card (usually) and the rubbery part keeps my ruler form slipping. It works...

Thanks to AJChapmom for giving the dimensions to make the purse. Unfortunately, I am a very visual learner and am struggling. If anyone has intructions with pictures I would be very appreciative!!!!
