If there's sticky residue on the block after you pull the extra rubber and padding away, dust it with a bit of baby powder and it won't be sticky anymore!

I switched from tape to Tombow Mono Multi adhesive.

It works quickly, it stays stuck, it goes a loooong way, and it's not gastly expensive even at full price.

You might want to try it.
