In addition to the local $ store, Target $1 section and Big Lots, don't forget IKEA. They have great stuff for cheap that is easily stamped!

Yes--Emboss!

Personally, I'd emboss it. Even if it chips after some time, you can always redo it. Embossing always adds more zing and professionalism than just plain ink, especially on the cover! I can't wait...

You can fix the little nicks with a soft (wood)...

You can fix the little nicks with a soft (wood) nail file. Just make sure you file in one direction only, and it will be gone in no time.

Also, you might want to be sure you're not applying too...
