I do not believe that you have to pay extra for hand cancelling at the post office......i had all of my wedding invitations (150 of them) hand cancelled at no extra charge.

I always close mine after I use it.....but that's just to save space. I've never had a problem with it, the stamp cleaner dries quickly.

Well as long as we're talking about things not to buy.....do not buy Target brand double stick tape. It is very thin, flimsy, and doesn't stick hardly at all. It is cheap but not worth even 1 penny...

I tried to use the classic pads and chalk on the shrinky dinks...but yes....it does smudge VERY easily and when it shrinks the colors fade a lot. Havn't tried anything else yet.
