I really like to use a torn piece of paper as a mask and then apply the versamark to the project. It creates a really pretty, feathery edge.

I've never tried it but I've heard that cocoa powder works. I read somewhere that you don't want to use anything with sugar in it because it will burn. If that's true, hot cocoa mix wouldn't work....
