Pick the easy-est wall to do... clean it with TSP, Rinse it and patch it/ Sand it if it needs. You could ask them to tint your primer and test it on one wall and if you don't...

I would also suggest putting on a rubber thimble or two or put on a latex or rubber glove on your twirling hand to help grip the needle.
