I use a synthetic chamois cloth that I got from Harbor Freight Tools with a coupon. It feels rubbery - I think it's intended for hand drying cars. Doesn't leave lint on the stamps and 99% of the time...

It really depends what size you need to cut. If you don't cut anything larger than what the portrait can cut I wouldn't buy a Cameo. I have a cameo, and I don't think I've ever cut anything 12x12 ...
