If you don't mind a fine-point marker thickness line, there's always the VersaMarker, too. Very cool for embossing kids' handwriting onto a scrapbook page.

I just can't get into Everyday Flexible Phrases - not entirely sure why. If that's not your thing, I'd pick Sketch It. Still pretty pricey, and it seems really versatile to me.
