Love using calendars and the postal clerks always comment on how pretty they are. Any scrap paper that's lying around works well, too. After a while those plain ol' white envelopes look so boring.

I always grab my old standby of the Ailene's Super Tacky Glue or hubby's carpenter's white glue. Just a dab and put a bit of wieght on it for a few minutes and presto - holds anything.
