Default Stash Busters - November 2013 Week 1

This month, I am challenging you to use up certain items from your stash and then link your completed layout here so we can all get excited over it! I'll post a new list each Thursday this month, and you have until December 2nd to scrap your layouts using the products. If you complete all four layouts, you will get an honorable mention for the month! Sound fun? Let's get started.

Please use:
2 patterned papers that are older than one year
Ghost letters/shapes or chipboard
3 or more brads (bonus points if they are patterned or shaped!)
Magic Mesh or fabric

You can use additional products, but you must use at least one of each of the items listed. If you don't have an item in your stash, please don't rush out and buy it! Just substitute a similar item from your stash. When posting in the gallery, please use keyword STASH13Nov1 , include a description of how you used each item, and link back to this post. Happy hunting!

My Sample: Hello Little Fish

Ghost letters are clear plastic letters that are about the same weight as a piece of cardstock. You can use them plain or paint them using acrylic paint, stamp on them using Stazon, doodle on them using a Sharpie, color them using alcohol inks, etc. Here is another layout on which I used some: Rainy Day Revel. I painted them on the back using white acrylic paint in a streaked pattern so they look rained upon. For my sample layout for this challenge, I painted them using two shades of brown, and then, when they were dry, I scratched off some of the paint using scissors so the layout colors show through. Hard to see in my scan, but looks cool IRL.

Hope this helps!

yip yip it's here!! I'll be looking.

If you don't have any ghost letters, and I don't at least I don't remember having any, I will just us clear acetate to make my letter or chipboard shape.

Thanks for defining ghost letters. I've never had any, so I'll be opting for the chipboard. I do still have some chipboard letters, if I can find them - lol.

oh yes ... I have several rolls of magic mesh ... at the time I thought I needed all the colors, LOL. Looking forward to see what I can do with getting it out of my stash!

Hope to work on this challenge tomorrow!

Finally feeling better (been down with some type of a virus) and getting back into the swing of things. I'm getting caught up on what challenges I missed and hopefully posting a page or two tomorrow!

Default Whew!

Here's my page! I hope it qualifies as I've never heard of ghost letters before...but I saw the post about using acetate and thought I'd give it a try!

Covenant Point

Glad your doing stashbusters again this month! Love busting out old items!
