Arrow January Stash Challenge Week 2 - Stash14Jan2

** How Fun, for the Month of January, Cheryl has invited me to Guest Host the Stash Challenge

Oh my goodness, when Cheryl first asked if I would like to guest host I was panicked with the thought of what do I have in my "stash" that I could use to make these pages, LOL! Just start looking. I have a huge pile of fun stuff I've pulled out I'm hoping to use.

This week, it's all about those "thing-a-ma-jigs, doo-hickeys, doodads, froo-froo embellishments" you just HAD to have but once you got them they've sat collecting dust. Come on, I know you have something like this. I found a package of "overlays" that I thought were darling and never even opened the package ... yup, stash. ;)

Also, I decided to add tool component this week. I have a DRAWER of punches, so heavy I can barely open it that absolutely need to be better utilized. The punch I used was still in the box, haha!

This month, I am challenging you to use up certain items from your stash and then link your completed layout here so we can all get excited over it! I'll post a new list the first 4 Thursdays this month, and you have until January 31st to scrap your layouts using the products. If you complete all four layouts, you will get an honorable mention for the month! Sound fun? Let's get started.

Please use:
2 or more patterned papers that are at least 6 months old
Doohickeys, Thing-a-ma-bobs, doodads...you know those embellishments that have been collecting dust
 Brads or Eyelets
Edge or Corner Punches, or use your cricut for an edge design die cut

You can use additional products, but you must use at least one of each of the items listed. If you don't have an item in your stash, please don't rush out and buy it! Just substitute a similar item from your stash. When posting in the gallery, please use keyword STASH14Jan2 , include a description of how you used each item, and link back to this post. Happy hunting!

We had a big mystery party on Saturday for our crop & shop. The Theme was "Cracking the C.A.S.E." All we were allowed to bring with us was two simply scrappin' kits, one spool of matching ribbon and brads, photos, a old mini catalog and white or vanilla card stock.

For the first part of the day or challenge was to find a scrapbook page in our old catalog that we liked and case it. But the catch was we had to "crack it" by solving the clues.... A little at a time! (We had to build our page a little at a time, just like a good old fashioned progressive page. First we made a 6x6, then 8 1/2 x11, followed up by making that into a 12x12, then finishing up by adding a second page. We had a lot of fun... The Hostess added in little fun mystery trivia games that kept the party alive and active.

For the second part of the day...our challenge was to start at the beginning of our old mini catalog, page by page and if we liked what we saw then we were to case it! Using only the supplies that we had brought with us. Everyone needs try this, at least just once... I got so many goodies made, not all of them were scrapbook layouts, but still fun. One thing, I might add is that we had access to the hostess' big shot, die cuts and punches.

So here are my "Cracking the C.A.S.E" pages...

Spring Break 1998 - 6x6 progressive

Spring Break 1998 - 8.5x11 progressive

Spring Break 1998 - 12x12 progressive

Spring Break 1998 - 2nd page progressive

Default Yeah!

I've had this one done for a while now, just getting around to posting it.
I've had these gold doohickey thing-a-ma-bobs for longer than I can remember! Good to start using them! The pink paper is actually my 2nd pattered (Daisy D's Gingham dots petal paper) it's so light you can't see the pattern in the photo. ;)
Here's my layout: Families & Friends

Mine is done. For those who think my title is a little weird, I was struggling to find a unique title for yet another birthday cake layout, and I remembered the Michael Crichton book "Eaters of the Dead." There was no cannibalism at my son's birthday party, but I changed the name up a bit for my title.
