The next two challenges for the CUT IT OUT VSBN are posted! Here's the link to the master thread. If anyone finishes the first five challenges, I have two bonus challenges I will post. Sharon has already completed the first challenge, so can anyone beat her to the finish line?!!!!

Here is the second challenge page.
VSBN19SepB Grandparents sm by smadson - at Splitcoaststampers
It took me all afternoon. I spent a lot of time on the floor looking for dropped tiny butterflies! And, since no room on my craft areas, I was down on the floor using my Big Shot. I think I am getting too old to scrap! LOL

Sharon, you will never be too old to scrap! I picture you on your death bed, telling the Grim Reaper to wait because you need to glue a few more flowers onto a layout - LOL!

Andy, 45 pages! Wow - that is awesome! Never too late to jump back in!

May I did 27 pages
June I did 21 pages
July I did 35 pages
August I did 31 pages.
That's 114 pages over the last four months. That puts my YTD at 282.
I'm going to aim high for September, as October is a crazy month at my house with four birthdays and Halloween costumes to make, so I need to compensate. September's goal will be 45 pages.

I am having fun with my Mixed Media Scrapbook Journal - here are a few of the pages I have done this week:

IC718 Grateful for Answered Prayers by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers

Thoughts of Heaven by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers

Just realized I didn't do a title or ending page to Crystal's scrapbook which I am giving her tomorrow so off to do them! Hugz

I am with you, Melissa. I recently redid the floors in my craft room and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I have about 10 boxes to still go through but I plan to do it by Christmas. I feel so much better! Hugz

I did a tag divider and 1.5 pages...the second one just needs glueing. Hope to get back to it today and will post...I realised after I’d done them that they fit the challenges...even better. The divider was an interesting exercise..,I won’t post that..it’s pretty ordinary lol. Had such fun scrapping with Melissa. I stayed up until midnight.

I also started a TP card...need to finish that too. I’ve got my photos out for the next page/s...there’s a lot.

Nancy, what did you daughter think to her album? I bet she loved it.

Happy day everyone

Today is the day I give it to her. We are going to start the day with pedicures and then lunch in Birmingham (1 hour away) at our birthday tradition restaurants (PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory). I will probably give it to her when she gets here this morning because I can't wait.

I am so impressed you stayed up late to do the challenges, Jayne! Hugz

Enjoy your day with your daughter Nancy. Can’t wait to hear all about it.

I didn’t get far with the challenges but I at least made something. I spent a lot of time trying to find things, thinking, chatting and making a mess lol.

Happy day everyone.

What a fabulous day you will have with her! More photo ops! I wish our DD lived near. Since her birthday is in January, when she comes at Christmas, I at least try to take her shopping. I would love a day like that with my DD.
Enjoy and cherish!

Listening to some Toby Mac and Francis Chan - feeling so inspired.

Here is my first page for VSBN - A challenge.

VSBN19SepA Live Life by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers

I will let you all know how Crystal feels about her book - only 1 hour to go. Sharon thanks for putting this day into perspective for me - I am lucky to have this time with her.

Yikes, it got busy here and I fell way behind!! Time to do a little scrapping and do some catch up here. I did take a look at the first new VSBN challenge, now all I need to do is uncover my craft table and scrap!!

Sharon, I had to laugh at your scrapping antics!! Sounds like me...spending way too much time contemplating what to do next, hunting for "lost stuff", trying to find things on the floor. Thanks heavens I don't have to sit on the floor with my cutting machines...I AM too old for that!!!

PS, I plan to scrap for 20 more years!

As you know, we are moving in a few months...I have plans to really purge when unpacking. I hope it goes well!! I already have a box of things to get rid of but feel I need to get rid of more.

Nancy, have a fun day! What a treat for your daughter.

Friday, my DIL and I will go to Alabama to scrap shop! This was a birthday shopping trip I gave hie in April...then came surgery that had a life changing outcome for her.

Right now she still does not have the use of her right arm. Maybe new supplies will be the thing to help stimulate the drive to work on the arm. She has been working at it but with no results and no advancement in 3 months so OPT dropped her. I am afraid she will give up.

Sharon, 20 years from now I will be 93! Even though I have enough paper and supplies to last that long, I just can’t picture me still Scrapping! LOL
I do not envy your move! That sure took a lot out of me last year! I think it added 10 years to my age. I started purging before the move in Jan. 2018, and since we moved in April 2018, I am still purging! Eek! How did I accumulate so much!

Sharon, if I can ask, what kind of surgery did your DD have? I was just wondering if it was shoulder replacement? I might have that in my future, with this torn rotator cuff. They quit my PT because it just made the pain worse. Right now after an injection, in February and again in April, I seem to be ok, except for occasional pain, mostly at night. I can’t lift my right arm above my head though.

Housecleaning today, maybe craft later, but have I Biblestudy tonight, too.

Don't loose heart Sharon, I will be 92 in 20 years!!

My DIL had and still has (she had two) a brain aneurysm in a very risky spot. Blood supply was cut off during surgery for the one that was removed. The other is inoperable as there is no way to get to it. She had a stroke on the table with very slow to recover speech and walking but that is coming, arm not so much.

Talking BTW

------- Happy, Happy Birthday Amy! Hope it's a scrappy fun day!

----- Sharon, LOL! I've done the "Craft Room Floor Crawl" looking for an embellishment that's gone missing ... ugh!

As for purging, eehhhh, I'm on a plan to not purchase more paper/embellishments until I make some room in my storage units by USING what I have.

Stamps, however, it's time to purge the ones I haven't used in the last year, that's my biggest issue. I'm out of room for stamps and it's hard to find the ones I want to use because they're not as organized as I need them to be ....

My daughter loved her scrapbook or at least acted very much like she did. We had such a fun day together. Our favorite thing we did was shopping at Trader Joes - I so should have taken pictures! We checked out all the blogs on the best things to get and we read all the labels on all the bread and wine. We had to buy cooler bags to get all the frozen stuff home on the over 1 hour drive - lol.

Sharon, where in Alabama are you going scrap shopping? How fun! I am waiting on the day one of my daughters says she wants to scrapbook... So impressed with your daughter's story and how she is doing. Wow. Many hugz and prayers to you both.

Sharon (the other Sharon) - I hate you have to do surgery too and are in pain.

HOpefully we are all scrapping into our 90s - someone has to preserve those thoughts and family memories. I WISH my Great Grandmother, Grandmother or even Mother had done some scrapbooks!

Now back to work today - urgh! I had such a lovely 3.5 days off.....I am so looking forward to retirement in a few years (or a few months if things at work don't slow down). Hugz

Nancy, thanks for sharing about your day. Too bad you have to go back to work!
And, they haven’t said I have to have surgery yet. I am hoping, not! I would rather just get the injections, now and then.m

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had a great day and feel like entire month so far. Yes...we are party people. No surprise as you all see my many events unfold. My hubs threw a party for me over the Labor Day weekend and yesterday on my big 50 I went out for a 5 hour lunch with two of my close friends. My boys and future daughter in law took me out to dinner as hubs is out of town and we had a great time. I did receive lots of fun gag "you are in the old club" kind of things and have more memories to laugh at and to scrap with me actually in the pictures!
But, this leads me to tell you of my boys very thoughtful gift. They are 22 and 23 now and they went through some albums and pulled a picture of just the 3 of us and had it enlarged and framed. Then on the mat inside the frame they hand wrote 50 reasons we love our Mom. They each wrote out 25 things and they are both sweet and hilarious. What I think I love about this most is not just the gift which I absolutely cherish, but that they get it. They get this thing that we do. They gave me back what I have been trying to give them all along. The ability to cherish the memories and celebrate life in person AND on the page. Then my oldest said, "Mom you know it took me a long time to find a picture of the three of us". And I said, "Yes, I know because I was the picture taker. So do April the favor and hopefully your children and grands and be sure and take the camera and turn it around sometimes too". My cup overflows....

Such sweet times some of you have had! Love reading such stories.

I was told that today starts a ten day palindrome - I find that fascinating. I wonder if it just never occurred in my life before!

Anyway, I finally have a page finished. I do have 3 in a stack in some stage of completion.

Here is my VSBN A challenge page. Hot Zoo Day by AnniePanda - at Splitcoaststampers

To the two Sharon’s......I can picture you both scrapping well into your 90s and Sharon (smadson) on the floor still trying to find something. You ladies are amazing.

As for purging...I know someone who definitely needs to...they are also a procrastinator and Melissa yes you are spot on....I know our kids will say..whatever was she thinking.

Sharon (Sewflake) I hope that you and your DIL have a wonderful trip and I hope this is the push that gives her some motivation. I also hope that she finds an OPT that can help her to gain full use of her arm again.

Nancy, so glad you had a nice day with your DD and I can imagine how happy she was with her album.

Amy, I loved your story....so sweet that your boys did that for you. I love the fact that they hand wrote 50 reasons why they love you. I’m also the photo taker in our family and will definitely be getting in more family shots from now on. Your boys will always treasure your creations of love. Just a beautiful story.

Today I’m thinking of my friends in America...of America...my heart feels sad on this day every year for many reasons. I hope you can find some joy in your day. Hugs.

Hey scrapbook lovers, I just saw the coolest scrapbook cover:

Dream Vacation Ireland by aztk - at Splitcoaststampers

Teresa (aztk) made the scrapbook for a friend (made the book too) - I just love it so I wanted to share it with you all too so you could give her some love and maybe she will want to come hang out with us too because she is so dang sweet just like all of you. Hugz

Remember , I won a scrap kit from a live scrap event? Here is your chance. You have to have Zoom on your laptop or whatever you use to be involved live.

It is today. I love to scrap and watch. And you can share. Then she draws from who is online with her for the free kit.

oh yeah Sharon, I do. Travel can sometimes be "fun" or interesting but I get tired on days like (Friday) and having to work until 8pm to get all the office work done that goes with all the meetings

Just when I start thinking I'd like to do something different, something usually happens to remind me why I like my job
