Maple Leaf November Scrappin and Chatter - sbc20nov

Scrappin' Challenge 2020 Can you believe this is our 12th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?!

We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2019 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2020! Let's keep scrappin'. It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2020! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops... What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process!

Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. *In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us. You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2020 Scrapbook Challenge!

Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends! We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc20nov"

Smile hey hey

WOW!   I can't believe it's NOvember Already!   It sure has been a crazy year.  Fun for scrappin' though,  I got alot more done this year than ever all thanks to being home so much

I was at a crap in October and got 20-some more pages done.  I wasn't sure about Nov but I scrapped today (crap weather, good day to be in!) so already have 6 pages done for this month,  maybe it's going to be good too

Sorry I'm not on much,  I'm going to try hard to jump on more often.  It's just now I sit at the computer all day every day so by 5-6pm, I want nothing to do with it!    Let's hope it's a little less this month

Maple Leaf and seriously ....

I'm not sure what happened but I've totally lost my Card Making MOJO!
I haven't made a card in months.   I need to get busy on my holiday cards here soon ....

It's strange when we go through ups and downs in crafting, hunh?

Hi Lela good to see you.  I won’t set a goal as I know I will put stress on myself and I can’t have stress right now.  Look forward to seeing what you made at your crop.

Happy day and keep well everyone.

Glad for you and all your pages completed Lela, I hope to see you here from time to time, I certainly understand how your time must be managed between the computer screen and the rest of your day. I have had days where I didn't turn the computer on at all.

I didn't come close to my goal in October, (3 of 12) but I've already started for November, so I'm still going to shoot for 12 this month. Last night I got the October calendar pages done for both calendars. I used the same layout, just changed the photos, so I only loaded the page that features my family.

My little sister is getting married this Saturday so that's keeping me busy this week, even from two hours away, lol... But I was enjoying the alphabet VSBN and hoping to get back to it. I also need to make some cards. I plan to send out several this month to try to spread some happy/gratitude.

Oh, how exciting to have a wedding! Wishing God's blessing and peace as the couple begin their lives together as one!
Good for you to not give up and go for another 12!
I'm preparing to do a "C" page.

The wedding was SOOOO wonderful!  Everything went off perfectly and the weather was sunny and 63 which is awesome for this time of year!  I am trying to compile pictures from  others and hope it won't be too long before I can work on these pages.  It is weird because I was such an active participant in this that I didn't take pictures and I am the main pic taker for everyone, so I am at the mercy of those who did.  I asked a few of my nieces and friends to take some, so we shall see what I get.

Tanya, I hope your sister has as beautiful a day as my son and DIL did and everything goes off without a hitch...other than the intended one!

Jayne, I love your new photo!

Joyce, I agree with you 100% and hope I can be a better participant here both in scrapping and chatting.

Lea, are you at work on another VSBN?  I saw a new topic listed at the top.  I'm all in on the challenges. I know they are extra work for you guys that put this all together.  I do appreciate that and love doing them.  Any more scrap-lifts planned?

I'm gonna try to push myself and try to get 25 pages done this month.  Maybe if I can do that I'll still have a shot at hitting my YTD goal.

Totals:
Oct completed: 13
November goal: 25
YTD: 97/150

Oh Amy, Wonderful news about the wedding! That is crazy about you being the photographer - completely understandable this time with how extra busy you were! It will all work out I'm sure, the main thing is the fabulous day for all!.

Finally tore myself away from election coverage to check in here! Fun to hear about the wedding news from Tanya and Amy. I need to get scrapping because I want to do 11 layouts this month. I managed 8 last month, putting my total at 79 YTD.

Yeay Amy! I want to scrapbook, but I need to get some cards made...! I'm planning to hit the gallery today tho!

Our wedding ended up well enough, haha. All week was 70+ degrees, which is totally weird for November. Usually 50's is about right. But there was a huge storm forecast for the weekend and of course the wedding was Saturday.... The morning started off gorgeous but as we set up displays the wind bringing the storm was crazy and blowing things around so we had to rearrange a lot. By 1 it was rainy and the wedding started at 2. It rained off and on the whole time, the worst was as she was saying her part of the vows. Everything was over an hour early, but that was okay with us, haha. The bride was mostly happy with how it all went and that was the point, right?
I'm just glad it's done! She had a specific vision of what she wanted but isn't great at articulating it ("I just want it beautiful!") and finds planning very tedious and boring. So it was a lot of work for everyone else, especially my parents, to make it happen. Anyway, I have lots of beautiful pictures of it all that I can't want to get printed, and I am using some in the calendars too.
I'll be back! I have to! haha!!!

I pulled out all my stamp sets and inks all set to make thank you cards and got distracted... haha... I wanted to "put away" a bin of Project Life cards and accessories but first, I had to finish a project I started four years ago. So yesterdays work was that I finally journaled 29 pages of our vacation from 2015! The final page was traditional instead of Project Life style, and the pages are linked in my photo description if you want to see, haha.

I got the November calendar page done for my inlaws tonight and just uploaded it. That completes their calendar other than the cover, and I have an idea for that too! I'm so excited it's done before Thanksgiving!

Where have I been all month?? It’s half over with and just getting in here. Shoot, it has even been almost a month since my LSS and crop store shut their doors for the last!! Darn pandemic!!
I won’t be seeing any of the ladies I crop with til January!

I was able to finish a lot of layouts in September and October but so far only a few in November... other projects are keeping me occupied, like putting the stack of finished layouts in albums. Every time I take that chore on a berate myself for not scrapping chronologically, it would sure make it much easier to fill a photo album. Now I am constantly rearranging pages to get the dates more cohesive. I also need to pick up a few more scrapbooks which I am finding them harder and harder to come by and more and more expensive like everything else.

I did take a look at your challenge your technique challenge Sharon and it looks like one that I am familiar with and since my most recent purchases have been stamps it’s a good way to start using them.

I need to go back and re read all of the posts.

Sharon, that is definitely a project!! When I got all those pages done this spring of my son's life, I had HIM take them all out and put them back in, in order, haha. It's more fun to do the scrapping out of order, but it's sure tedious to get them in books in the right order.

I got two more calendar pages done over the weekend, (just barely uploaded) and that completes one of them! yeay! I don't typically do a lot for the covers, but I realized it was a good spot for some favorite pics that didn't fit, or were taken after I finished that month's page.

Now both calendars are finished AND ordered thankyouSnapfish! haha! I crammed and got the last four pages done last night and this morning to take advantage of their sale price of $3.99/each. Don't worry, they get you with shipping, haha. Anyway, I am excited to have that off my plate! I've updated my totals in my signature and uploaded the most interesting of the last pages too.

Tanya...congrats on getting your calendars finished!  I only do 2 of them and I know they take me quite a while.  Great tradition you have going.  Hopefully one of your kids will continue that someday with whatever the latest technology is for that time.

I got four renovation pages finished, but don't plan on posting them.  They aren't very exciting but show some before and afters of painting and flooring mostly.  Have to get some more pics printed.  I always think I have enough and then when I finally find some time to scrap I run out of pics!!  Grrr...

Hope everyone is doing well and you have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday this week for those that celebrate.

I did get this paper layout done Saturday, using the newest Paper Pumpkin kit that arrived I think on Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the States.  I hope that you have a wonderful day, albeit it may be different this year.  The important thing is to keep safe and well.

Hugs.

Happy Birthday, Joyce Ann!  I am so sorry I didn’t get a card out to you!  I meant to!  What has happened to this month and year?
I am fighting a bad cold, and not feeling good.  DH is warming up our turkey leftovers.  I haven’t felt like eating today at all.

Waving to you all.

Hugs everyone. I’m trying to find my mojo..it’s slowly peeking out.  I just want to sleep and be lazy. Keep safe and well everyone

Hello ladies, Sorry I haven’t managed one layout during the last few months, I have the albums all ready but just can’t think of any ideas!
