(Something went wrong with that post. Let me try again.)
This is in answer to Jan's question about what this entails.
I get to make cards in advance for the Fan Club reveal each of my 6
months. I can't post any of my DT projects on line anywhere else for 6
months after they appear here.

To me it is an honor to have been asked to join the "Dirt Pile". I
always saw it as a very special honor, and now I have been asked.
Personally, I hope to draw more scrappers in.

In addition to this new "position" here on Splitcoaststampers, I have my
craft room torn up. DD bought a new table from Ikea and set it up in
place of the old table yesterday. We have piles in the living room, too.
First I am trying to find how I want to situate my stuff I use often
and then find room for the rest. The wall shelves and the paper storage
isn't affected. It's all those little 3-drawer plastic units we are
trying to reorganize.

I can do this! I CAN do this!

Happy scrapping every one!

Oh wow Joyce Ann, this is fantastic news. Congratulations. How did I miss the Dirty girl reveal. So happy for you and look forward to seeing your creations. I hope it means that you will still scrap. Big hugs jx

Has anyone heard from Lela? Miss her and our monthly challenges. Hope she is going ok...maybe she is busy with work.

Just waving hello to you all and hugs. I thought I would get to scrapping today but no such luck. Tomorrow arvo maybe. Happy scrapping

I can't see your page, Tanya, but it sounds lovely.

Yes, Jayne, miss Lela too. As for challenges, just read an old one if you need inspiration. Hope you enjoy your scrapping time when it finally comes around for you.

I did make a simple layout yesterday, not very interesting, just documented my favorite breakfast. Still working on my craft room. Expect to pick up another shelving unit soon. It is 5 sections wide and high, 58inches square. Should work well for all the 12x12s, and more.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope that you are all safe and well.

Where's Sharon? Miss her. Hope she is going ok.

I still haven't got back to my scrapping but hope to later today or tomorrow arvo. With our State now at Stage 4 and things reopening life is getting busy again plus there's been birthday celebrations this end since last weekend and we have DIL1's birthday this coming weekend. After that, I can get back to more time at home. I miss it.

Hugs

Here is a page I finished.

I have started to play with some of the SCS daily challenges but haven't managed to actually make any yet. That's what I hope to do today.

Hi Ladies. Just checking in. I signed up to complete 10 layouts this month and have finished a grand total of 2! Part of the problem was that I needed to get photos developed, but I also rediscovered my love of jigsaw puzzles, and have been working on some with my oldest son. Then we went on vacation this past week and I didn't bring my scrapping supplies because our car was already full of other stuff. I really do want to get a few layouts done, but probably won't finish 10 . . .

Cheryl, I agree with Joyce Ann, people before paper as they say. Making memories with your children is way more important. I’m also doing jigsaw puzzles and have one laid out on my table now with another one waiting. DH bought me one for my birthday this week. It’s of a temple in Japan with cherry blossoms and I may frame it afterwards. I love puzzles.

Like you, I’ve done a whooping 2 pages and still have to do your stashbuster. This month with our State lifting restrictions has been a busy month plus birthday catchups. I’m slowing life down again as I much preferred it during lockdown LOL.

Happy weekend and who is scrapping or VSN’ing. I may join VSN on Sunday if it rains here and we can’t golf. Otherwise I will have to wait until Monday.

Thank you Joyce Ann for my birthday wishes...it was a very low key day except for having cake with the poppets LOL.

Hugs to you all

Wonderful that you shared your birthday cake with your dear poppets, Jayne!

The local news for us in Florida is not good. Seems COVID infections are on the rise. It doesn't really change my habits, still not going out much, but it definitely doesn't open anything up either. In fact, worse news is that the shopping area where Michael's is has had a high number of positive tests from all the employees at all the stores around the entire area. No casual looking around for sure - not that I need anything!

My most horrifying news is about my granddaughter and family. DH's orders are in, they will get packed up July 1st and fly to Oregon on the 3rd. We've read it is really terrible over that way and DD and I are terrified for them.

Joyce Ann it’s really a worry, CA is the same , that’s worrying having employees testing positive as they will have passed it on to others

Joyce Ann and everyone, please keep safe and well. Joyce Ann is that your DGD in Japan who is returning or another one? I hope they are ok. It’s spiking here in Oz in Melbourne again.

From what I see and listen to, there are too many people out there in the world who think this virus is a joke, won’t do the right thing and making it more difficult for communities to get rid of it and move on.

I did go onto VSN for a couple of hours and only managed to create 2.5 cards. I need to be choosy about which challenges I will do and so I can scrap again. June is nearly over...how can that be.

Happy weekend everyone

Jayne, what you said is so true! Just a little while ago I came to the conclusion that I need to prioritize and let go of the unnecessary things I think I want to do and just concentrate on the ones that are rewarding to me. Yes, we have said the same thing about the people who refuse to do what they can to stop the spread! Scary.
I only have the one DGD and she is the one who has been in Japan for a year. When they were sent there, it should have been for 3 years. Instead the Navy is moving his ship and they don't reassign crew to one that is still stationed there - wish they had!

Good Tuesday morning ladies I thought I had written a post and checked in earlier in the month but I don’t see where I have done so. It has been a sad and busy and life-changing month as I am settling the estate of my husband of 52 years.
From the looks of all the paperwork that came in the mail yesterday I still have plenty more pages to fill out!
I thought I had come in to say he had passed away the end of May but I do not remember if I did so or did not?? I knew it was coming...but still...

With everything opening up in Florida just a few weeks ago I signed up for Crop over this last weekend. It did me good to be able to get out and be with my scrappy sisters. This is the same fabulous bunch of ladies that have been getting together for crops in our area for years and years. I can’t even begin to say how many years we have all been cropping together. Maybe I’ll have to ask the next time we are together. We are blessed to have several crops a month around the area to choose from as well as cropping retreats, which is a good thing as the space fills fast.

I was able to finish 18 pages over the three day crop with more done yesterday.

Congrats

Dear Sharon (Sewflake) I’ve only just come across your post. I am so sorry to hear of your DH’s passing and sending you lots of love and hugs. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be after spending so many years together. I am happy to read, however, that you have your scrapping friends that are there to help you get through this difficult time. Big hugs and love jx

How can it be July already? I am still wondering where January to June went. I shall look out for the July scrapping thread. I hope that we have one. I miss the old challenges with scraplifts, sketches, music, themes. I also miss Lela. Has anyone heard from her...or Cheryl recently? It’s so quiet on here.

We need a zoom scrap one day ladies. Keep safe and well. Sending hugs to you all

Hello ladies, very hot here, Steve had his blood tests, what a fiasco, he arrive before 8am for his 8.10 appointment, this was made a year ago, they eventually called him to go inside, twenty minutes later he went in and then had to wait 45 minutes for his new e prescription, he was a annoyed as she kept chatting to her colleagues, took seconds to print off in the end, we didn’t get going until gone nine, I walked across to meet him, luckily I was sat on a bench on the shade.

How uncomfortable for you Jan to have to sit outside in the heat! That is enough to give you high blood pressure - lol

Well scrappers I have tried to post a sketch challenge. The pictures of the sketches are showing in my setting up of the post but are not when I send it. I've edited, a lot, and have no idea why they don't appear. I did post a link to each one, so maybe it is something you can work with for now. I will try to get some help.

I only got 8 pages done this month but that's okay. I am totally burned out.
I had a decent attitude when the world shut down in March and I did okay coming up with fun activities to keep the kids busy, along with school work, but now it's hot and I'm just done. We're going on a small vacation in a week or so, to Bryce Canyon, staying in our state, and seeing places my dad's family lived and I'm excited for that. It's been 11 years since I've been there. But mostly I'm just tired of all the things, and just done. sigh. Maybe I'll do better in July, lol. Maybe....

Sharon, I am so very sorry to hear of your husband's passing. 52 years sounds so wonderful to see a couple make it and yet I'm sure for you it has to feel just not long enough. I pray for your peace and hope that you will find solace in your memories, friends, and family.
