Of course, the hottest day of the year and our A/C quits working, UGH! It's 78 in here already. My DH has set up a couple fans that's making it bearable so far ... scrap on. I might have to take a mid-afternoon break and go pick up photos I ordered

So ... I started out digging through some photos but then couldn't find the paper I wanted which is when I realized I still had 2 scrap bags packed from last events so I started unpacking those which then required Scrap Space Organization ... and here I am with a clean space and NOW ... ready to actually scrap .... completely different photos than I planned the first time of course

My scrapping roll must be all up hill as it is slow going after the initial push...I'm stuck on a title or one word sentiment that needs to happen...I can't decide if I want to mat the photos then what color would I use if I did...ugh it makes me wish I had hadn't tried using these pictures from before the kids wedding.

Then I keep trying to do some Scrap Space Organization like Lela did but that is not working either...I keep finding too many little piles that have no place to go to be organized! Makes you want to pull your hair out!

Sill in all, I am a lot further ahead that when I started this morning. I just need to see the end and work towards that.

Well, I realized I needed a 50th Anniversary Card for our Pastor and wife and wanted to take it with me to the ladies luncheon at church today. So , I kind of made a mess in my craft room before going to the luncheon. Then, when I got home, I cleaned a little in my craft room, and got overwhelmed with all the stuff in there! So, didn’t do any more crafting. I watched a Hallmark movie! Christmas in July on that channel. And then we Skyped our kids after supper, and here I sit with no scrapping done!

Lela, and Sharon, there is always tomorrow!

Had to work today, but was itching to get another page done so I could hit my goal.
Used the star challenge again, but this time in a non-patriotic way. However, the main subject of my page is certainly very patriotic! But wanted a different look to feature this impressive subject, so I put aside my urge to do another red, white, and blue page. Instead I attempted to channel my inner Sharon (Sewflake) and Joyce Ann that use these layers so effortlessly on their pages.
(made you want to look...right? Ha!)

Ok ... It's now hit 85 in here, ugh! It's supposed to cool off tonight. The HVAC Guy is coming tomorrow. I can't believe my Hubby can't fix this, he can fix everything usually

I did get 4 pages done last night ... completely not the pages I was expecting to work on for VSBN but when I was unloading my Crop Bag, the pics and papers were all put together and I started on those.. I'm finishing 4 more pages now for my Napa trip

I've got ideas for all of the VSBN Sharon, GREAT challenges! I watched the same "Christmas in July" Hallmark movies you did last night, LOL! The Christmas Shoe Addict and Snow Bride. I'd seen both of those before but I really liked the one with Candice Cameron Bure and usually I can watch them more than once since I'm scrappin' at the same time

Here are a few of my pages from the Ireland Scrapbook I finished this weekend:

Ireland - Magical Places by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers
IC711 - Resplendent Quetzal Inspiration by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers
IC711 - Ending to Ireland Scrapbook by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers
VSBN19JULBONUS1 Beauty and Coffee by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers

Now it is time to clean house, put a few more things back in the craft room and get ready for a week of work (where I will wish I am at home crafting!).

Nancy here is the 2nd bonus challenge: VSBN19JULBONUS2 - Splitcoaststampers

Sharon, I just happen to see your layouts in the gallery. You didn't link them in the challenge threads so we would know they were there.

We now have 39 layouts in the VSBN Gallery, and more coming!

Sharon I did another 6x8 page and some of the ink was coming off my photos. I had to print more for my double spread earlier when I realised I hadn’t changed the paper setting to photo paper...lol. Oops. I’ve done equivalent to 1 page so far....gosh whatever next. I think I may be back.

Here is my last layout for the Scrap Fireworks VSBN! Amy beat me getting them done!
Nancy I look forward to yours this weekend! And, Jayne I hope it all works out for you to get your photos printed. I have been having a lot of problems taking photos of my projects to upload.

Our Grad

I haven't linked my other pages , but you can just go to the
Scrap Fireworks or VSBN19JUL gallery and see everyone's. Some aren't linking them to the challenges, and I am just finding them, by going to the gallery.

Sharon your right I did forget to link them, I just put in the keywords. I probably got sidetracked and never came back.

This week has been a little busy with doctor appointments... hubby (dementia) has thrown a curve ball into the works by refusing to let our in home aide do anything for him. So she left today and won't be back...her and my decision.

The scrapping mojo just seems to leave for days at a time!!

I hope to take a look at the gallery and see all the wonderful designs...

You out did your self Sharon! Thank you for the inspiration!!!

I am working on a couple more pages for the month so I better check the remaining challenge and see how I can incorporate it!

Sharon, so sorry for these problems you are having. I probably wouldn’t have any Mojo either. I hope you can work out something to have help with DH. Thank you for the nice comments. I am done for the month and already updated my totals. But we still have a whole week lleft in July! So I guess I could still get more done. I am switching gears and getting ready for DTGD. Cleaning my space and thinking “cards”. I can never do both at the same time. Although, this month I did both VSBN and VSN and did them all and even one a Prize!

Just checking in to say hello. I’m on vacation in Colorado with my family so no scrapbooking here. Wi-Fi is very limited so I can’t even comment on anything in the gallery. I think I’m having scrapbook withdrawals!

Enjoy, Cheryl! We just got back last week from Colorado! Look at it this way; you are making memories and taking photos to scrap! You have to do that first before scrapping!

True, Sharon, although I am trying to take fewer photos these days since I am five years behind on my scrapbooking and feel kinda overwhelmed every time I try to weed through the hundreds of photos we took the last few years! I think it was a combination of having two new kids join our family in 2014 plus having cell phone photos in addition to a digital camera, but we took photos of every single event from every conceivable angle! I kinda miss the days of having one roll of 24 exposures, and probably ending up with 16 scrap-worthy photos from that. It certainly made my job as family scrapbooker easier, KWIM?

Happy Monday everyone...how can it energy be end July?

Sharon you did an awesome job with the challenges this month and to be able to do your own scrapping and also cards is awesome. You are a legend.

I have my next LO out on my table but I started making a card last night for last weeks Teapotter thread which is 2/3rds completed...plus there’s also a card I have to make for a young girl. After these, I have decided not to make anymore cards this week with DTGD coming up and hope to finish at least one LO.

Is anyone else doing DTGD? I’ve never done it before and will just pick and choose challenges as I’m in available some days.

I sometimes wish our life wasn’t so busy.

Happy day and creating.

LOL! I feel ya! This seems to happen to me sometimes ... When I'm home, it seems my MOJO comes and goes but when I'm traveling, it seems to be ready, ready, ready to go ... funny how motivation works!

I sometimes think that about pictures ... too much! Then I look through my Albums and fall in love again with all the memories the photos create. Seriously when I'm feeling overwhelmed, I grab "Pocket Page" Protectors and start dropping them in on events w/ multiple photos. It speeds up the process for me and helps me get a batch of pages done ... I need to do that with older albums I've stopped working on. Those give me the most stress ....

I have a couple more VSBN Challenges to do so I can play along with the "Bonus" Rounds ... photos selected, they're on the my desk to get done tonight

I am having the same dilemma of overwhelming photos from past events. Now days not so many photos - being lucky to have enough for a two page spread. Also lucky if we even go someplace to make new memories!!

I have some old photos I'm working with to make kits...falling in love all over again with the memories of that little blonde headed girl with the ringlets who is now 18. No blonde, no ringlets, no antics...funny how there are fewer events when the kiddos are too old to participate. We have no little ones anymore. The youngest will be a high school freshmen this year....two collage freshmen, the rest are on their own.

Sharon, I have really enjoyed your VSBN!

I will be winding down my scrapping for a few months as we prepare to move.

I will still scrap this next month but after that I may stick to making kits so I will be ready to dive in once my scrap room is back up and running. I have to evaluate each month to see how close that moving date is getting.

Greetings. my friends!

This month is winding down and I'm not sure is I have any more pages left for this month. I have a total of 17 this month.

Keep at it, ladies, there are ups and downs in everything. My advise to you Jayne is to have a little notebook, note pad, sheet of paper, or even a file on your phone - something to job down ideas for when you do have a chance to produce a page. That way when the time presents itself you will already have some ideas or journaling or titles - whatever.
Sharon, oh my! Moving! I feel for you!

I'm not likely to play in the DTGD since I let my membership lapse this month. Besides, I'm just not making many cards at all now.

Here are a few more layouts I completed this month. One I finished today, so I think my mojo is kicking in after getting back from vacation. Our plane landed at the airport at 11:55pm on Sunday night, and we turned on our cell phones only to receive texts from our house sitter that our mini-van wouldn't start and she didn't have another car big enough to fit our family of six - eek! Thank God for Lyft; we were able to pile four of us plus luggage in a Lyft car, while I waited at the airport for the house sitter to come in her own car. Didn't get home till 12:50 and to bed at 1:30. I really wanted to scrap yesterday but was too tired for the mojo to flow, so I'm really glad a good night's sleep cured my lack of creativity! Anyway, here are my layouts.

Finished up another layout this morning, and I going to try to crank out one more this afternoon, so this may or may not be my last layout for July!

I have not met any goals this month. But I did make a spread for a play that I saw recently with my family. There is one more photo to go on, of me holding the programme, but I can't find it right now.
Anyway, here's my "Rent" spread.

Not done with the layout I was working on and I doubt I will get it finished today, so my totals for July include 13 finished layouts, which means I surpassed my goal of 10 - yay! Also made my yearly goal of 70 (I'm at 75 YTD), so I guess I will have to see if I can make it to 100 this year.
