I did an in-lab sleep study last night and got three great hours of sleep thanks to a non-malfunctioning CPAP machine they put on me for half the night. I came home and was just a little too alert to go back to bed, so I finished up a layout that I've been working on. Feeling good right now, so I may start another one . . . or I may crash and burn any second, who knows?!

Sleep studies are not fun, Cheryl. Getting it all straight and then sleeping good is the best!
I did a layout this morning for the inspiration challenge:
IC728 Boston Proper Meets Selma by nwilliams6 - at Splitcoaststampers
Off to go visit some more markers and a few haunted places.

Thanks Joyce Ann. NZ is an amazing country. Feeling better today thank goodness although still horizontal. Catching up on seeing what everyone has been creating. Amazing work by everyone. Loving it all.
You must be getting excited now for your trip. We have been chatting with the kids about Japan. Sending hugs and can’t wait to see your LOs. It may motivate me to scrap my Japan trips. I must send you the names of those craft stores lol. I’m enabling you
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. Happy scrapping.

Back from my cropping week end, cropped during the day came home at night.
My DS stayed with DH while I was gone.
I have 16 pages, with a few titles that need to be added then get them photographed and posted.
Right now I am playing catch up with household things that did not get done while I was gone!
Glad you see some scrapping going on and trips with the change of pictures and layouts in the future!!

I haven't a clue on removing the ink - suspect it isn't possible. If you have a scanner get a file and using a editing program you might be able to clean it up. Then, paste the new copy over the faulty one. |
Good idea as to how to fix the picture by scanning and editing.

Two more traditional pages from me today! I pulled out supplies to do more, but life! These are both from this summer so that's exciting for me. Typically I show off my pages as soon as people come home but I'm letting my son discover these whenever he looks thru his books. I'm excited to see how that goes.

I will try to get my layouts photographed from the retreat sometime today.
I have to find the ones I already put up.

I took more photos f my layouts, but truthfully, it is too difficult when there are that many pages, plus having to cover up faces. I should have stayed on top of it as I did them. That is the way I have done it before! Di you all load everything you scrap?

I will whine some more. My laptop card reader doesn’t work right. Stick it in, and it reads, then quits and says error. I have to keep putting in and hold the card in there so it makes a connection I guess. My camera doesn’t hold the dates, so when I go to upload, the photos aren’t there, unless I do the date manually before I take the photo. Can’t even find it on the card to upload, because
I have other photos on there, different dates. and, just found that
I set a date wrong and it uploaded to wrong folder. Eeekkk!
Just a real Hassell. I am thinking I will just upload ones for the challenges. And printer eats ink cartridges. Really! So don’t know what I need first, laptop, camera, printer, or iPad. Oh, yeah it keeps freezing up. I looked in sittings and it says I got half the space left. So don’t know why I have to keep turning on and off like I do my laptop to reset.
Ranting done!
Happy day!

Sharon,
I'm sorry you're having a frustrating time.
Not sure if you're looking for answers or just needed to get it off your chest. But for me, personally, I don't use the printer very much, sometimes for the kids' homework. I really just use the scanning function on my printer. I don't know anything about ipads, I'm a laptop girl. I don't even use my phone for the internet much, but a phone or an ipad can work for a camera...? So I think you'd have to determine what you use the things for, and start there. Good luck!!
Also, I think I do post every page I make here, just because it helps me keep track of what I've done. That and people here appreciate it, haha, instead of just comments like "see? you did these two birthdays in a row and nothing in between!" or "You haven't done any pages for me for four YEARS?!" ...haha! But it does mean they're looking at their books and enjoying them so it's not 100% a complaint....just like, 85% complaining, hahaha!!!
Hope tomorrow is less frustrating!

Sharon,
How very frustrating when electronics start having a mind of their own! I was having the same issues between my camera card and printer and computer. Being I am more like Tanya with laptop and use of phone I can only say how I solved the problem. I went to a phone that takes excellent photos (not as good as my digital overall, but in a few cases better) which my laptop auto reads and loads into the photo editing program. I can edit there and either save to the computer or load into a forum.
I do not print at home as I have plenty of pictures to work with and order prints to be mailed to me. I do not own an iPad nor do I use my phone for anything but called/texting and picture taking. Once in a great while I will search on the internet with the phone. I really thought I would continue to use my 35mm but found it just too easy to have phone only plus it takes better indoor pictures.
I post most of my pages here, like Tanya it helps me track what I have done. Also I look back in my gallery instead of pulling out albums...then there are the ones that I give away.

I said I post most of my pages here...it looks like I am way behind in getting them in here this month. Last year I was not very good at all for posting, and it seems like the year before was even worse.

Andy...I think I need to borrow your son for myself! I can’t believe it’s already the 22nd and I have only ONE page done so far.!
I have to work tomorrow so no play time then. Haven’t scrapped much, but I did do some cards for Falliday Fest.
I am in the middle of some home projects. I decided to paint my hallway. Which lead to painting my foyer, and this lead to doing the living room including changing the old honey oak color of my trim to white, which lead to also re-painting my bookcases as well. I really need to go ahead and do the dining room too bc it all flows into there. But I’m feeling a little pooped and I just want to craft! We are having my family side of Christmas at my house this year on 12/21, which will include my Mom and her hubs coming to stay with us for a few weeks as well. Not sure...why did I decide to do all of this now?

Tonya, keep working away on those calendar pages...I think it is getting close to deadline!! Sunday, right!!?
Amy, you will have a new looking house with all the fresh colors for the holidays...also a way to get the house (corners) clean for company!
Hope to get a few layouts uploaded over the week end.

Great job, Lela, on getting 12 pages done this weekend! I struggle getting that many done in a month, so that's quite an accomplishment. I'm working on a layout for one of the VSBN challenges right now, but in the meantime, I thought I would post a couple of layout I finished in the last week.

I got my in-laws calendar done and ordered in time! yeay! (good remembering, Sharon!) Then I spent quite a bit of time selecting photos for my parents calendar...and consequently know exactly who I need to take more pictures of on Thursday! I only got one more page done for that calendar, but choosing the pics is half the process so no complaints here!
I just linked up the three new pages, but here they are.

No scrapping for me lately. I have completed some of my sewing projects and make 3 Christmas cards (well almost) over the last 2 days. Lots of stuff to do, especially in the kitchen since I think the flooring is just about ready to be put down today. Got to do the last of the cleaning and then stay out of the way.
Lots of activities approaching and I wish all of you happy times and loving gatherings.

Thanks Cheryl! I actually took a page out of the suggestions you ladies made awhile ago about going to a Crop and took very specific papers/photos to scrap. It cut down on what I took with me and it helped my productivity ... so THANK YOU! I finished 32 pages this weekend (completed my Spring 2019 Album YES!)
One of my 2019 goals was to have my scrapbooks done this year just to see if I could get close ... well, I think I can finish everything BUT my Trip, we'll see?! If nothing else, it's motivating me.
My trip, well that's going to take multiple Albums
I'm ok with that, it was a trip of a lifetime and I'll enjoy those books over and over. It's just tough trying to figure out how I'm going to get that all scrapped but I guess that's the fun part

Here’s another for VSBN.
Lake Time with my boys by Shirleysgirl at Splitcoaststampers
Since it’s going to be a rainy week and weekend here we are not going to go to our lake property to work on it over the holiday. So I’m planning on getting some scrapping done with my new rainy weather plans. Have to work tomorrow, but I’m off the rest of the week. My remodel mess is getting closer to resolution, so wish me luck for some much needed crop time!!
And look for tomorrow’s sketch challenge to have a familiar sample page in it... wink-wink.

That is so strange as I sent it before we went away...the last week of October. It should have got there way before now. I hope it’s not been confiscated. Happy holidays.

Sorry I have been MIA. With the holidays and work, I have only had little bits of time here and there.
I think I caught up on most the posts here and your pages.
I don't post all my pages here - only my favorites - maybe I should rethink that?
Working on a book for a young friend who has gone through a lot in the last few years - so excited about it.
Hugz to you all!!!
