Scrappin' Challenge 2021 Can you believe this is our 13th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?!
We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2020 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2021! Let's keep scrappin'. It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages,goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2021! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops... What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. *In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us. You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE?Come and Play in the 2021 Scrapbook Challenge!

This year instead of "Challenges" we're going to have a new opportunity for Inspiration. It's called,
Working On It Wednesdays
Each Wednesday a Hostess will post an Inspiration Idea, Question, Discussion, Picture, Sketch, Link to a past Challenge, a new challenge ... just something that may inspire a page.
We will keep track of how many each of us participate in by doing a page/card from what's posted. Hopefully at the end of 2021, we'll have 52 more cards or scrap pages from our Wednesday happenings.
I'm hoping by keeping it more casual, we'll get others who are willing to help do a post for the week so it doesn't fall to the same people all the time? It should mix it up some.
All of the Wednesday Posts will be Listed here in our Thread so you don't have to go looking for it.

February Challenges 020321 - OZPOM - Create a project whether it be a card, scrapbook page, journal page or tag and include at least one recycled object on it. Examples could be using corrugated cardboard as your base paper or a paper bag, using a teabag or colouring with coffee/tea and/or using household items to add texture or to embellish. For example, use the top from a bottle, dip in your paint/inks and use for circles.
021021 - Daizees - Valentine's Day is Sunday. Using supplies that are typical of Valentines, make a layout that is not about Valentines! Use supplies like - hearts, red, white, pink, doilies, roses, gems, pearls, lace, chocolate, puns, a couple....
021721 - SMadson - I love word play challenges, so my idea is to use items or techniques that begin with the letters in COLD on your project.

Okay, I am shooting low this month with just five layouts. That's one for each week of the Wednesday challenges, although I probably won't be able to do the last one since we'll be on vacation in Hawaii that week (assuming we get a negative Covid test before we leave).

Hey ladies! Thanks for the continuing challenges!
I didn't quite make my February goal, only 18 of 20, but I'm still happy with that.
I'm shooting for 12 pages this month, but also I'm hoping to put together my Dec Daily 2020 mini album. All during December, I saved the photos in daily "files" and made daily notes of what happened.

Here is another layout and it is for Jaynes challenge. I made the tags by gluing pieces of papers on them and I did a lot of sponging with vintage photo distress ink.

MY first layout for March, but I am playing along with two of the February Working on It Wednesday challenges: the sketch and the COLD challenge.

C - Color Kaleidoscope Thickers and puffy stickers
O - Off We Go in my title
L - Let's Wander patterned paper
D - black enamel Dots
I've just got out my photos to crop for my next LO on my travel album LOL. I must have over 100 taken for just one day's travel....mmmm...not sure how many pages it will turn into. Watch this space.

Sounds like a great challenge, Cheryl! I didn’t know we were doing keywords. I haven’t used anything but SBC21MAR or whatever the month is.
I didn't realize we were doing keywords at first, and I didn't use them for two of my February challenge entries, but I noticed Lela listed the February challenges with keywords at the top of this thread, so I guess that's what we're doing. Looks like it's just the date the challenge is supposed to be posted, so mine was posted today, 3/10/21, thus the keyword is 031021. Easy peasy! It probably is no big deal since we're all posting links in this thread, but it does make it easier if you want to see all the entries for a certain challenge in one gallery.

Thanks for the challenges, ladies. I've checked in and made a note of what I want to do with them. I haven't created all month, other than to put the photos in my December Daily album. Now I have to journal it and add embellishments.......
In February I also assembled some pocket pages from a few years ago, and stopped at the adding journling and embellishing....
Have you found the mojo, Carole? haha..... I have ideas, I just need something to make me get it done, lol!

Oh man, I just finished a layout with lots of green on it! Guess I will have to find some more photos that work well with green. I have a tag on my last layout but need to get it posted to the gallery.
Jayne, maybe not a lot of structure is a good thing for this challenge. Whoever pops in and has an idea, post it. If you have one and someone else gets in there before you with her challenge, just leave a post saying you will post the following week. If no one has an idea, we wait for the following week when someone comes up with something. What do you think?
Cheryl sounds a good plan to me. If we miss a week I agree it won’t matter. It’s just great that this thread is still alive.
