Hello ladies. I am finishing up a series of layouts and need your advice. I have a single page layout showing our family going up the ski lift, then a double page spread showing the kids playing in the snow, then a page showing us having hot cocoa in the ski lodge, and now I'm wrapping it up with a single page showing us coming down the ski lift. I put titles on the first four layouts but am debating whether to use one on the last layout. When I first started scrapping, I didn't use titles that much, but I've gotten so used to doing them that it seems weird not to do one, KWIM? Unfortunately, I am stumped as far as what to use for a title on layout 4 . . . Anyway, you can see the layouts in sequence by clicking on the links below. Please tell me what you think!
Cheryl, I'm not a 'stickler' for the must-have a title opinion. The journaling should be enough to link this 4th layout to the proper set when your loved ones pick up the album in the future. I have a hard time with titles anyway, so as long as I believe a multiple layout is understood as being part of the event, I'm okay. Sometimes a title can be redundant when the "subject" is the same for consecutive pages.
Here is another sample for the sketch challenge - it is for Sketch # 1: Yeah, but

Cheryl why not just call it Moving on Down or Coming Down if you want to keep the theme going.
I do agree with Joyce Ann that if you are doing more than one page for a holiday maybe just keep the title on the front page and let the journalling do the work. I used to think I needed a title but now I don’t always add one and especially if I don’t have room *wink*. Happy day

I was finally able to get my son to sit down with me and help with the swim journaling. I also typed up the other page's journaling so now I have posted the rest of what I scrapped last week.
Since I had my son sitting there, I had him help journal a few more stacks of pictures that will be scrapped soon. I have to switch to cards now to hold a card class, and I'm working fast and furiously on captioning more pictures for a reunion my parents are going to later this month. But I really hope to get a lot more scrapping done... time is ticking!

Sharon, I finally got some junk mail in the post and saved one envelope to use, when I came back inside it had disappeared m Steve had thrown it away, I had to rummage through the recycling to find it!
On Sunday you ladies were kind enough to give me permission not to use a title on the last one of four sequential layouts, but I went to bed with the layout not yet finished and the next day came across a Thicker than inspired me to add some fun journaling advice for my kids! So I did end up with a title but it was kind of an accident.
I'm reflecting today and sending out smooches and hugs. Here they come ladies and I want to say how very grateful I am to have you in my life. Mwah

Thanks Jayne, just seen on the news that two people in our town have the virus, now I’m really worried.
Oh no....keep well and safe. Stock up and keep 1m away from everyone. We all went to the funeral air kissing and by the end of it everyone was hugging and kissing. Take care.

So we are all to keep washing our hands, now we have no water for some reason, good job we always have a five litre bottle on standby, in fact we just used the old bottle up and bought a new one!
All football matches have been cancelled, Fathers Day celebrations cancelled, that is a big thing over here and a Fiesta, sounds like the schools are closing too.
Ive finished another two page part of my journal, didn’t have time to take a photo, I can’t believe how many I’ve done, I’ve also got another two started for our Universal Studio trip too..
Jan keep safe. We are cancelling our holiday. I’m sad but it’s necessary. World is going crazy...it needs to be out back on its axis At least I will get to create more lol.
More hugs coming ladies. Virtual ones virus free mwah

Jayne, I’ve been to the hairdressers this morning and just as Dawn was drying my hair they had a phone call to say three cases have been diagnosed at our medical centre, at the moment it hasn’t been on the Murcia today news but she said they are closing, no appointments, and also the private health clinic has two cases, it’s really scared me, our neighbour said the Chinese shop has had to close, we thought it was a rumour but we’ve just come home and it is closed, we haven’t been in since we came back as they are always having new Chinese people appearing in there!! Who knows where they have come from.
We went a walk and people are still eating and drinking as normal, we won’t be eating out any more even Steve has now agreed that’s sensible .
We think his hospital appointment will be cancelled for next Monday, I hope so as it gets packed and we don’t want to be sitting there for three hours, just waiting to hear!
I’m really worried now, our DIL in the UK just emailed to ask if we will still be going next month, her Mum emailed from Poland to say cinemas etc are being closed but not churches, !! We will have to see now if we are actually allowed to go!
Jan keep safe. We are cancelling our holiday. I’m sad but it’s necessary. World is going crazy...it needs to be out back on its axis At least I will get to create more lol.
More hugs coming ladies. Virtual ones virus free mwah
Jayne, your post made me wonder if scrapbooking may make a comeback because people are staying at home with nothing to do, so they might as well pull out all those supplies they spent thousands of dollars on and start using them! Thanks for all the virus-free virtual hugs.
We're not panicking here in Southern California yet, but toilet paper is selling out at the grocery store for some reason. Still planning to go on a driving mini-vacation in a couple of weeks to see one of the California missions, but I have a suspicion the Mountain Men special event will be cancelled, since they are cancelling lots of events that may draw crowds. Glad we're staying in an AirBnB rental home instead of a hotel!
It is scary and all the people need to be more vigilant with keeping people contact down - and washing your hands when we touch anything in public.
Gatherings are being canceled for the good, I believe. But the recommendation that supposedly went out from the CDC to stay home from church is not a good idea, unless you are sick, of course. Our Church has announced we will not be holding hands during the Our Father and not shaking hands during the Peace. We still need to be in His presence and worship.
I finished two pages today. Been working on them for days.
Jan I’m sorry to here this. We have had 5 more cases announced today.
All had arrived via the UK, US and Japan and all ages. All our major sporting events have been cancelled and any event over 500 people. International travel is not banned yet but they are asking people to seriously reconsider going anywhere unless absolutely necessary effective Monday. We have watched two shows today by leading world health experts and the only way to stop the spread of this terrible virus is lockdown. People just aren’t getting it and saying it’s like the normal flu. It isn’t. We now have ads running on tv telling us what to look out for and what to do. Our Government is taking it very seriously to protect us and I believe what Trump has done is for the good of his nation except he needs to get tested. This virus can affect someone up to 1.8m out if someone has it and coughs or sneezes and a person breathes it in. It does not discriminate in age but appears to be affecting the weak and elderly more. A person can be infected for up to 14 days and display no symptoms. And so it goes on. I believe lockdown in all countries is the way to stop the spread. I think this will get worse and they are predicting 6 months. They also are saying that it’s like the Spanish flu in 1918 and say look at the stats on what happened with that and what two areas in the States did..one went into lockdown and mortality rates went down. The other didn’t and suffered. One of our top government officials now has it. People are saying that hot weather kills it....really...we are in temps of 35 degrees right now and still people are getting it. Schools are trialling virtual classes. Some have closed and one Uni. I’m sure some people on this site will think I’m over reacting but our country got it before others and we are close to Asia. I don’t believe governments make decisions that will affect the economy lightly. I urge everyone to read up on this virus and get the facts that are coming out of Italy.
I will go into self isolation if it gets worse. I will create more. Read more, play board games more and have fun at home more lol. Today I tried to get some basic food at our supermarket such as meat. Flour sugar, pasta, rice...all gone. Little meat left and still no loo rolls after over a week. I say stock up, keep well and safe.
And ladies...let’s keep creating.

Thank goodness our DIL has all travel banned via work so she won’t be going to Amsterdam over Easter, she was taking the GSs too to meet up with her family, I’m very relieved.
Just received word all schools in our district will be closed until April 3. Holy moly, what am I going to do with my kids for three weeks when I can’t take them to any public places?Guess they’re all going to learn to scrapbook!
Our son in SF was sent home today, luckily he can do some work from home, DIL will be pleased he can share the load. Our eldest son is still having to travel to London on the train every day, two hour journey, worries me.
We aren’t going out even for a walk we’ve decided for a few days just until we hear more as our town is on lock down. They are saying only go out to shop, made me smile both our sons are telling me to keep their dad indoors, he does have heart problems, so obviously they think I will be ok.
It's a crazy world we live in right now ... not panicking here but all of our State is shutting down for 3 weeks. I think that's wise so we can get it stopped before it gets worse. I've been traveling the last 3 weeks and have just used caution/care like they recommend. It's worked so far ....
I am admitting, for me, I"m excited to slow down for the next couple weeks. Super excited, we're off to a Crop next week. It's small, 8 of us and we rented a private house so we're going to bring food and spend 4 days getting pages in our scrapbooks.
I'll then be home the week after so I'm excited to get more pages done
Let the Scrap Fun Begin!

Yep, we just got word this afternoon that our schools statewide are closed the next two weeks. I always write up a plan for summer and Christmas breaks so tonight I got to work writing up a plan for these two weeks. If you need some ideas Cheryl, I can pass on some things I read today and what I'm doing. ;) A couple days ago my son half hoped we'd have to stay home so he has time to work on projects. I teased that we could only do that if *I get to spend the same amount of time scrapping. LOL. We'll see. I'm just trying to stay calm and do the very best we can.
The stores were empty last night but this morning I was able to get everything I need. My husband was able to cancel a major event with his work so that was exciting. He won't be so busy this spring that way.
I appreciate the perspective and information of you who live in other countries. Prayers and best wishes to all of us! And hopefully plenty of time to scrapbook too!

Tanya, looks like the kids will have assignments they need to complete at home, but I will PM you if they finish and are going stir-crazy. Thanks, and wish me luck as I home school (sorta) for the next three weeks!
Taking advantage of the fact that my hubby will be home with us this weekend to get some scrapping done! I finished our snow trip, so I'm going back to the Legoland pictures I started scrapping a couple of weeks ago. I can't take my family there right now, so I will have to live vicariously through the memories these photo evoke - LOL!
I was thinking of Sharon, Sewflake, and saying a prayer for her. I hope all is going well with their move and her husband.
I feel so fortunate to have the use of my hands again. Although sore, and sometimes bad days because of PT, I am doing great! I figure the soreness will take a while. I am doing a little lifting, but only what I can tolerate.
I hope to scrap a page this weekend. On my way to look at your layout, Cheryl.
Sharon I made a start on my junk mail envelope, I cut it in half and then couldn’t think what to do! LOL
I did find two beautiful small Japanese envelopes that our sons boss gave our GSs, she had put some euros in them for their holiday pocket money when they came over last summer, they are far too pretty to cover so I might use them as they are on something.
I got a total of nine pages done today! Four double layouts and a single! I am SO excited! And it was all for my son's book so YEAY. Four events are from this school year, one is 2.5 years old. I just uploaded them... Jazz Band Concert Swim Meet 2 July 4 Senior Masquerade Homecoming Game
Hoping to hit the gallery after I get my little one asleep!

I'm excited for you Jan with your 'junk envelope" work. Look forward to seeing how you used them.
Tayna, that's an impressive number of pages done - good for you. I can't see any of them yet, all still saying 'pending approval'. I'll come back later and try again.
