I have to scrap this year. Abby was disappointed I didn't have an album for her like the interactive mini I did for Adrian - before Abby was born. Guess grandma has to get on the ball hehe

I sorted out all of the Pocket Cards I've been "basically collecting" for this challenge! So happy Melissa is doing this challenge for us monthly!
Also Super excited for Stashbuster, Sharon. I need it

Well, after 2 hours of "photo sorting" (Grrrr...) looking for pictures I know I've printed but can't find ... I did get 3 pages done. These both started out for Stashbusters Challenge but I goofed on the 2nd one and forgot to add a "technique) ....
You could follow Lynn's example and show off your painted toe nails :-) I love seeing her different colors
Yep I was thinking of the toenails LO and thought I could do something similar with shoes...thanks for that and will give it some thought. I just need to do it whilst hubby is out and for a while. I have shoes hidden all over the house in various places LOL. May take a while.
A goal I have this year is to declutter my wardrobe (and shoes!!). We have just returned from the UK and guess who brought back 3 pairs of shoes, including the 4 pairs I took :-P. Hubby was nearly having a fit when we were packing to return to Oz as I had shopped up big time for the grandies....clothes are soooooo cheap there, similar to the States. What else can a girl do LOL. His favourite saying is "you buy it, you carry it" but how can I lift a 25 kilo suitcase with a sore back...LOL!
On another topic, hubby came to me today with a tag he had cut off some new shorts he had bought and a piece of twine and said "I thought you might like these for your craft". Bless his little cotton socks. How can I ever destash when he thinks of me when he is throwing tags away LOL. So they are now in my bits and bobs drawer in my craft room which is filling up, never to be seen again.
I can confess, however, that I have stopped keeping things I take off everyday items and which really should go in the bin, although it was difficult last week when our little poppet GS came and said "Nannie, I've brought some chocolate wrappers to use in craft today....think of the texture we will get". I fear my stash pile may increase and I've created a monster LOL. I must say that his and our GD's flowers made with the wrappers were pretty awesome and I only ended up with 3 choccy wrappers left by the end of it all ;).
As for the used baby wipes I've kept for the past year, I really need to let them go. I may find it liberating :p
Happy day ladies and happy scrapping.

I don't live near anyone and the only person I've met in real life is Lela, but some of the people on this thread have been posting for years, so they know each other almost as well as people they meet in person. Don't let that scare you, though. Just jump in and chat when you want!
I completed my first layouts of 2018, and it feels really good to be back in the saddle again, scrapbook-wise. I included Sharon's new Stashbusters challenge in one of these, and hope to play along with the other challenges soon. I'm still working through the pictures from our London trip, and at the rate I'm going, I estimate I'll be done sometime in 2019 - LOL! But any progress is good, right?

Jayne, you are such a hoot! So fun that you are in our lives now! I've never net anyone in person, but it feels wonderful to have made friends with them in spite of our distances from each other.

I have chatted and set goals with this group since 2009, I think! Some have come and gone. Some come back, too after a while! Through it all, Lela has kept us going!
And I have actually met Kelly as she is my SU! Demo, long distance, but she has stopped by to see me. Also, I have chatted on the phone with Sewflake when I called her about advice about preparing for a Scrap Retreat and with Joyce Ann, when I was concerned about her going through the hurricane. I think that is when we talked the first time. Sometimes talking is easier than typing!
Anyway, Jane you have been a great addition to our group, and very inspirational to us, too! I have especially enjoyed your mixed media approach to scrapbooking!
Goodness, I feel like I've been around SCS for eons. Looking at my profile, I joined in 2005. 12 years I've been making friends on SCS and aside from friends I lived near at one time, I've only physically met 1 - Sharon. yet we are closer to some than most family members.

Happy New Year!!! A little late to the party but that seems to be the way the last few months have gone!!
Back with a goal this year of 150 pages and 50 plus cards.
Not really interested in cards right now but I have to do something with all those Penny Black stamps I have added to my inventory!!!
Now to go back to catch up on reading. January is always a chatty month!!!
It was a real treat chatting with Sharon by phone. Gives a voice to the face.
I have also met, in person, a number of the people that use to be on SCS. Either at CHA or when I took some Copic certification classes years back.
I've never thought about how long we've been scrapping together, I feel like I know most of you ladies here LOVE IT!
I did get to meet Cheryl and that was SO fun! Ive met Anavon and MaryPat also. I'm hoping to meet more of you in my travels ... I've met several SCS friends traveling ...
I finished my Pocket Page .... and my December Album, whew!
I'm with Sharon (sewflake), I've got to do some cards sometime as I just got some new stamps for Christmas!

I just found this...I am wondering how I can use the idea for my goals...I should NOT be playing on the computer this late or else my brain wakes up and I don't sleep...silly me
I never made it back to the beginning of the thread to read all the fine details....feeling a bit lost with AE's and OLW's - my own fault. I will read with my morning coffee right now!!!!
ROFL!! I'd help you up but I decided to re-organize my embellishment "stash" by dumping it all in the middle of my Scrap Office Floor ... and I was thinking this was a good idea?
I think my brain went too many directions too. Have you ever started a project and don't really want to finish :rolleyes::rolleyes:
Well, it's all over the floor now so ... I have to figure out
Lela - I think you were one smart cookie by dumping it on the floor!! Then whether you wanted to finish or not you HAVE too as like you said "It's all over the floor!"
I realized I did not set a goal for the month.... I think I am feeling a little wary about number of pages I will actually complete as I have not made my goal for the last two years. Life has its way as I muddle thru...
My goal is not quite as lofty as in years past...
Even with attending a three day crop on the 12-14 I am going to set my goal at 15 pages for the month. That is with kits prepped for 10 pages already and hopes of more by next Friday.
I did not realize how much I like being able to obtain goals I set!!!
With that said I have not completed a single layout yet!! I also need more ideas for those added crop kits I want so off to the challenges I go to prep!! Especially going to read the instructions/guide lines for pocket pages to see if the style I use will qualify.

Coffee certainly helps LOL I've had one cup then did chores and brought in firewood. Enjoying a 2nd cup before I start the 'work'

No goal for me as of yet. January is going to be about getting my January Christmas cards/ tags done and getting a work flow in place for the office. Then I'll have the time I want to create. But I'm putting this in my Challenge Planner under January to keep it in mind.

I'd like to set some 2018 goals as well please. I'd like to have a 120 pages completed by the end of the year, and 10 pages done by the end of January. I tried to play along in September and October of last year but I couldn't figure out how to post pictures of my layouts. In November I had a baby and everything came to a stop. She's sleeping 5 hours now and I'm ready to get back to work. Thanks for letting me come and play.
Welcome Andy! Happy to have you come play in our challenges when you have the time, most of all, happy to have you make pages with us.
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. Blessings to you all.
Hope you find how to upload photos of your work to your gallery. The first place you will click on is on the first page - Upload a card. Even though it isn't a card. Then select Galleries. Then select scrapbooking from the drop-down menu. Then the size from the sub-gallery.
Always feel free to pop in with a question when needed, someone will respond!
bty, I have loved ones in Phoenix (Laveen, actually). I spent 2 weeks there the end of Nov. Still scrapping those pics!

Sharon, this did end up being the BEST Idea as it “forced” me to complete the process. Now that it’s done and so easy to find what I want to add to my pages, it’s great. It was just half way thru that I thought UGH, LOL!
Ok...I did it.. created a journal card for my January goal to drink more water
I need a card like this as hubby is always telling me I don't drink enough...water that is LOL. Love it. Happy day

Sharon, join the club. Whilst I've been laid up and during those moments when my MIL hasn't wanted to chat ;) I've been checking out Ali Edwards and other videos and have albums and pockets and flips/folds, chatbooks, "Where I Stand" photos and little words jumping out at me. No wonder I can't sleep at night LOL. I'm loving it all :p
I am amazed at you ladies and don't know how you all keep up with it all on this site and still find time to scrap and make cards. I love this site and spend more time reading about what I'm supposed to be doing, then print all the challenges off (I reverted to writing them down in my journal and today decided to copy/paste onto my notes LOL....(it's one BIG NOTE LOL); jump onto sites to learn about craft stuff and techniques than actually doing it.....:p:p
In the meantime the stash in my craft room grows daily (or did in 2017). (Note to self: No, I WILL NOT buy more in 2018 until I use what I have ), and as you ladies know, I like to chat LOL. Good job I type quickly or nothing would ever get done around here...hehe.
It's so great to be on here ladies and I already feel as though I know some of you. Thank you for your kindness and kind comments about me being part of your special group.
Now I think I really need to get off this pc and spend some time with my hubby...our first evening together for a week and tomorrow....bring on the scrapping!
Happy weekend everyone.....Commitment here I come! :shock::cool::p

Sharon, are you sure you aren't my twin? LOL....I muddle through life daily. I also love to set myself goals...I thrive on challenges
I forgot to ask, how is your hubby going? I hope he's still recovering and you are getting some time for yourself. Hugs

Lela, if the challenge is related to shoes, I may need a qtr to prepare LOL
This arvo (aussie slang for afternoon in case someone wonders what I'm dribbling on about), I spent time taking photos of my knee propped up on a pillow. You wouldn't believe how many attempts I had....propping in the right angle and getting the toes and feet looking ok is pretty hard. Watch out for the finished product...toes and all ;)
On that note, I really, really need to get off this pc, although hubby just called out that he's just watching a golf shot on tv and will be ready in 5 to watch a show.
More time for me to chat...LOL.
Nite everyone...enjoy your day
