Thanks for the feedback on the pocket pages, ladies. I am starting to decorate them more rather than just using them as storage pages (kinda like an old slip-in photo album), so I think I will keep a separate total for myself of the pocket pages I embellish. I came down with a severe cold this weekend so didn't get anything done Sunday - spent the day in bed - and was off to a slow scrappy start yesterday. But I got a layout finished today.

Sharon (Sewflake) I hope that your husband's scan and spinal puncture goes well and you receive good news....thinking of you.
Has anyone seen Sharon Madson? Hope she's ok. Miss her on the threads.
Does anyone have a list of birthdays for our group? I'm trying to keep track of when everyone's birthday is so I don't forget to wish them a happy day. I know on other threads they do this. Just wondered.
I've now chosen which of Amy's pages I will lift and am heading upstairs to make a start....so much to do.

I finally did a LO..yay...my first for this year. I scrap lifted Amy's Nashville Bound changing very little. Love her page. It took me nearly as long as it takes to create a 12x12 page by the time I had found my embellishments and stamps. I've got my photos ready for tomorrow to start another one.....0.5/10. Small steps.
Mine is called flashback at the museum of London. I've not put it in my gallery yet.

Happy 2019 Everyone!!!!
Our house kicked off our new year with a plate full of homemade donuts, hot chocolate and snow...
MY GOAL FOR THIS YEAR ID GOING TO BE 60 again...
I came up short on my goal last year.... only completed 45
As many of you know my focus for 2018 was “Strength & Stillness” and after gaining a stronger testimony of what it means to “Stop! Listen & Pray...”, I have been able to better understand the importance of “goals & gratitude” and have been able to experience the added “Joy” that comes from always “being anxiously engaged in the service of the Lord”.
Here are some highlights...
*** Our “Pennies from Heaven” Jar (Donated to Charity) ~ $42.67
*** Weight Lost over year ~
(Up and Down) ~ 32 pounds
*** We doubled our temple trips goal
*** We added a new puppy
*** We crossed several more fun things off our bucket list
*** We are STILL part of the bowling league.
This year my “one word" challenge word is going to be JOY and my "Focus Word" is FAMILY. And my 2019 SMASH BOOK/ART JOURNAL/THOUGHT CATCHER theme is going to be a quote from President Uchtdorf: “Sometimes we become so focused on the Finish Line, that we fail to find the JOY in the journey”.
Also this year as part of my scripture study, I am focusing on the Life of Christ and the Parables found in the New Testament... If anyone would like to join me in this study, leave a comment and I will make sure you get a copy of my monthly reading list.
Along with my scripture study, I am part of a new online book club.
I am really excited for this new year and look forward to sharing it with you all. I will continue posting on facebook my usual daily stuff under my ongoing headings with the exception of “Fruitful Friday’s” will now be called “Faith Filled Friday’s”

Hey, hey
Hello from IN, it looks like I may get "snowed" in here for the weekend at least, good thing I brought some scrappy goodies with me. I'm here to see a customer and then headed further west to see my son's gymnasts compete. Hopefully the weather is just coming through for the weekend
Thanks for all the notes about my DD! It's the only mini-album i do. It's only my 2nd one, I really enjoy looking through them and first few days ... last year I did better keeping up, this year, with more travel I was further behind so it felt like the last few pages were "less creative" than the first half but ... done and done...
What's on your Scrap Agenda?

Happy Friday everyone. I've been checking out the latest pages...great job ladies.
Amy, glad you like the scraplift I did of yours. I may use that again as I love your page.
Lela, I have a couple of free arvo's coming up....at this stage unless hubby suggests something. I want to get back to my mini album. I am enjoying doing it and reliving our trip end 2017. I am trying to keep it simple but you know me....embellishment queen LOL. I also have my weekly card challenge to do...I'm doing Ina's challenge in S2S. Check it out.
I saw the poppets briefly today and we will go and watch them swim tomorrow and then they will come back for some play time here. Sunday will be a free day....no golf for us this week.
Hope you all get some scrapping in. Enjoy

Hey ladies! I am setting goals today (yep, 12 days in....!) and hope to accomplish much more scrapping this year! Including the calendars, I got 28 whole pages done last year. Worst year ever since I started scrapping 24 years ago! ACK!
But I kind of switched gears the last year and a half, scanning in photos from my grandparents' homes (they've all passed away by now) and adding captions, (names, dates, locations, stories about it) and then my dad loads them to the cloud and emails the link out to family. That way everyone gets a copy of every picture, with information! Since June of 2017 I have gotten 2156 photos for my mom's family, 140 photos for my dad's family and 198 of my parents' pictures. Since every photograph has "journaling" it has kind of, sort of taken the place of scrapbooking...
However!! I sooo miss paper scrapbooking!! I am years behind in my kids books, not to mention "mine". I have some pocket albums I have started, I have hundreds of photos printed and we took over 7000 pictures last year!!! Of course I'll never scrapbook all of them, but oh my goodness, there are some advantages of film cameras, weren't there? hahahaha!!!
SO. My goal for 2019 is to finish the pocket albums I have begun, and get 50 pages done. Here's hoping!! ;)

Sharon,
My printer, and my dad's printer, has a scan feature. I (or my kids) scan them, one by one, to a flash drive, load them on my computer and use a very old program (seriously- a disk that came with our first digital camera in 2005) to crop it down and add a caption. So it goes from looking like the first pic, to looking like the second one.
I wish I could tell you what other program you could use, maybe photoshop, or something similar, but I have no experience with that, sorry!!

Happy Sunday I'm in my play room making notes in my craft journal of the challenges I need to start today, including scrapping.
Here's some photos I took before Xmas of our Xmas trees in bloom during December and January. Happy day

Neat pages Joyne! Love those tree pics, as well. Not like anything I have seen before!
Tanya...I’m impressed with that picture project! Labor of love, for sure! I agree we tend to to have so many more pictures these days to cope with mostly bc you don’t have to pay to develop them and can see right away you got the right shot. Technology has certainly helped with the quality of the shots I scrap these days. The hardest part is what to leave out.
I just want to say again how grateful I am for this group. I have so enjoyed learning from all of you and it has really helped me grow in this craft and get more pages done. I enjoy doing it so very much that I wonder if I retired if I would even come out of my craft room at all! Ha!
I hope you all have a joyous Sunday and get some time to play.

Jayne I love seeing your pictures!
Amy what a sweetheart you are!
Tanya, adorable photo. Wow you have been BUSY!
Sharon I have a stand alone scanner by Epson. Very high resolution compared to the ones in the desk top printers. It has software built in so all you do is plug the cord into your computer and make your selection of what you want it to do. Not too hard of a learning curve. Once it is on my computer I move my pics to an external hard drive. I always keep my photos, all of them, on the ext HD.

Thank you ladies for your kind comments.
Amy....ah you are so sweet.....we learn from one another and the ladies on this thread are wonderful. I appreciate you and all of the ladies on here and I also learn lots. Without this thread I don't think I would achieve a thing.
Tanya thanks for the tips on scanning/printer. I am having such problems with my photos. The cloud is now saying there's nearly 89000 photos and I purchased an app the other day called a duplicate photo fix pro or something and it found 57000+ were duplicates. I left it running and it moved them into a deleted duplicate folder in photos which I then deleted. Guess how many are still showing on our pic.....yep nearly 89000. I don't get it and am frustrated. Hubby says he is going to buy a hard drive just for our photos and take them off the pc. I just don't have the time now to cull them.
Happy Monday everyone...it's chores day here..yuk

I had some time in my craft room this arvo...made 2 panels for 2 card challenges and also did 2 LOs...here they are. I won't post in the gallery for my mini album unless you think I should Lela. I got a sketch offline for a 12x12 and modified it..a lot. I did Cheryl's variety challenge using tools I haven't used for a while. Was fun. So enjoying scrapping again and finding doing a 7x9 album is challenging in itself.
TFL. Happy day

Happy Tuesday everyone....hope you have a nice day. Mine has been a somewhat frustrating one but it's improved.
I was wondering if this thread has a birthday list? I am putting together in my personal address book birthdays and addresses of ladies that I like on this site and would like to send some happy mail to now and again. I have Sharon's already.
If you would like to be added to my happy mail list, please pm me your details and I will send you mine. I make all of these cards and have few people to send them to this end LOL. Please be assured that any info will be kept private, as I would prefer mine.
Thanks everyone. Enjoy

Jayne - there is a "mini album" section listed as a subcategory in the scrapbooking section. I have made quite a few mini albums. I usually count them toward my goal. Depending on the size, they were either counted as 1 for 1 or 2 for 1.

Hi ladies. I've been scrapping away this month, but I always seem to wait to upload at the last minute at the end of the month. I'm still working on birth pages for all my kids. It's fun to relive the memories, but I feel like I am running out of title ideas. How many clever quips are there for all those pictures of me laying in a hospital bed? Even if I don't meet my page goal for the year I will be super happy if I get all these baby pages done.

Thanks ladies...I will post them in due course. It just seems to take so long to upload and do the description so I just posted them whilst I had a window of opportunity. I do count them as .5....so now have done 2/10 for the month...whoop, whoop.
Even better the like button is definitely fixed...Happy Wednesday everyone. We are out for dinner this evening...yay, I don't have to cook. Sleep well

I think my mojo is caught in the snow... people are posting Spring stamping and crafting challenges and I am not anywhere near ready for Spring, but I can't seem to find anything fun or exciting to make for winter either. :(

Got a notion for this page late yesterday and just went in and laid it out. Today I cut the title and executed it. Yay me!

I saw some you tube videos by the lady who has the scrap rack and while I don't necessarily think you need to buy her products, I have found that her category system works really well for the way I scrap. I'm not a very artistic scrapper. I'm much more focused on the journaling and I tend to keep embellishments to a minimum (the fact is I'm not very skilled at using them) so the sorting system of four catagories she has works well for my brain. I find I use up the things I have if I keep them together. She teaches to put alpha numeric together, then by theme, then calendar year, then color. It works very well for my sort of scrapping. It helps me to keep collections together because that's how I shop. I tend to buy in collections because I'm not super confident in my ability to put together random patterned papers. I also think in terms of color. I'm much more likely to think, "this page needs something yellow" than I am to think I need a butterfly or a swirl or some chipboard. So her system that keeps collections together and then puts all my options for color together works for me.
