We have Irene @ 4 here off our coast and for alll the wind and rain we were to get...barely anything to talk about...maybe she's more off the east coast than predicted and will stay that way for all you northerners...and I live 1 hour from Cocoa beach in FL/ 1.5 from Daytona...hope that's good news for all you northerners. I'm waiting for the 11 PM newscast to see what's being said 'cause my mom & uncle live in NJ. Just heard Cape May has a mandatory evacuation...hopefully the news will get better for you like it did for us!

Dd1 is having friends over after school for a swim and video games...I think that'll be a good time to play in my craft room! Here's hoping!!! :-) Have a great day even if it's rainy & windy...a great time to craft!

Stay safe....I'm glad I'm not visiting right now! Although it's beginning to sound like the hurricane will be more of an issue in my neck of the woods this time around! And just in time for DGS birthday tomorrow too! Our party is to be a cookout too

Thanks for looking! I bought the deal thru Persnickety Prints for 200 pages and I've already gotten 125 ready...just have to figure out how to separate all the DPS pages I made and send them too.

Good to hear you didn't get the brunt of the hurricane but sad not much scrapping for you. It's amazing how much up North here that these states are taking this hurricane so seriously. Even Lancaster County is setting up shelters since they think we will get lots of rain that will create flash floods even though we are on the fringe of Irene.
Just a note to all our SCS friends along the east coast....stay safe!

Unbelievable! I just placed an order with Persnickety Prints for 107 12x12 scrapbook pages and in ONE hour I got an email that my order had been processed and was being shipped! I think my jaw hit the floor when I read it! Now I can't wait to get them next week and they ship to my work too! It's gonna be like Christmas!

Sounds like fun! There are some die cuts I see used on cards that look so cool. I don't have a Big Shot and probably wouldn't use it if I did...I only have the Cricut (which I don't use a lot either).

OK. Kudos to Persnickety Prints again! I emailed Cust Service to see if they could print out 12 x 24 and then separate them or tell me how to do it before downloading. Super helpful and Chari gave me very explicit directions on how to use the crop tool to do it! Once I saw what she wrote, I remembered how so I've downloaded lots more pages.

I'm house sitting this week with no internet access (oh no!!), so I'm just here to post my A, B, C, & D mini-VSBN pages. Didn't manage to get G-H done.
A: A-Awesome - Fall11MiniVSBN1 by wendella247 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
B: B-Buddies - Fall11MiniVSBN1 by wendella247 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
C: C - Cuddle Bug - Fall11MiniVSBN2 by wendella247 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
D: D - Dad's Boy - Fall11MiniVSBN2 by wendella247 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Terry --check Yin Designs -- I think she had instructions. I usually crop one 12x12 side of the 12x24, save it named left or right side, then "undo" my steps so I have the 12x24 page visible once more. Then I crop the other side and save that with the name of the other side (left or right). I think Yin's directions might be for margins using Shutterfly.
I haven't printed any double 12x12 pages yet, so I'm only guessing. Wish i had more time, but gotta go now!

Happy Saturday!
Welcome Weekend! I'm so glad it's here. This week I'm in Memphis but sent some goodies along to scrap with. I hope to get some pages done this weekend. Thanks to mini-VSBN I got lots of pages done this month ... looking forward to VSBN September!
Off to find some caffeine and inspiration

WOW! How has this month flown by already?! I haven't gotten any pages completed...but, I am going to a crop in September so I am hoping to get lots done then
As for Hurricane Irene, we are getting wind and rain here but nothing too serious...tomorrow we are supposed to get up to 30 MPH winds...overall, we have really dodged a bullet.
Hope the rest of you are safe!

Glad to hear it wasn't too bad for you....we are just now getting the wind and rain and we are on the very outside edge of it. Lots of people without power already from downed trees and our one little tree that DH just took the stakes off of will have to be restaked for a bit to help straighten him back up but so far OK. Am getting breakfast ready now and just grateful to still have electric.

I have been out of pocket for awhile … lots happening and am finally settling back into the grove of things! Can’t believe that this year is almost over and it was a quite a year for me. Flew out to Georgia for my youngest son's and then traveled to Fort Worth in March for his wedding. Following the wedding my mom and two sisters and two brother-in-laws came to stay with us for a week. Both boys bought homes this year and we spent helping them move. Work has been absolutely crazy, But, youngest son and DIL are looking forward to their scrapbook album like I made for Ryan and Staci … so with that said, will get back on track working on John and Jen’s wedding album. I have set my goals – 6 pages for September, 6 pages for October, 6 pages for November and 4 pages for December!
So I am looking forward to starting back in September … you all inspire me to get the pages done!

Hi all...I want to let everyone know that my mom passed away last week. It was all very peaceful, she passed at home with all of her family around her. I am very sad but also glad that she is no longer suffering. I miss her so much already. I have picked the phone up with the thought of calling her several times. My dad is doing well he comments everyday about how lonely the house is. I can not seem to wrap my head around any scrapping or any ideas so I will not have the Thursday challenge again this week for which I apologize. I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers this past year while my mom was ill. I truly feel some great friendships here.

Patti ... hugs to you and your family in this difficult time. I lost my dad over 25 years ago ... cherish all the memories ... it's the memories that will get you through. My dad is never far from my thoughts, and he still makes me smile. My dad was always up on the latest gaget/technology (computers were just hitting their stride when he died) and to this day when something new comes out I smile and think how my dad would have loved to have seen the newest gaget.

Patti and Candy. So sorry for your loss. It's a mixed blessing when they pass after they have been suffering. You are thankful that they are no longer suffering but sad because they are no longer here. I am glad that you have family to help support you through this difficult time. Take care of each other and all of your family. I am thinking of you.

Patti and Candy,
You have already heard from me privately, so you know how sorry I am for the loss of your mom. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

It is never easy when our parents pass - even though it is the natural progression of life, it still brings so much pain. The blessings of memories become more powerful as time passes. The first time you can laugh at some silly memory through the tears - that helps the heart to heal. May your memories and love for each other support you through this time of loss.

I just posted this week's scrapbook variety challenge. SBVC158 - Back to School (8/31/11) by fmtinsley at Splitcoaststampers
Sorry it is so late today. Wednesdays are a little crazy for me now. We do school in the morning and then leave at noon for Brooke's science class at 12:30 and I've been working at our office during her class and afterwards until dinner at church. The science class, office and church are within 5mins of each other and home is 20 mins away. I really hate driving home only to have to come back to same area a couple of hours later. My car (SUV) is not the greatest on gas mileage. :(
