These are the only directions I have in written form. I've usually just taught this card in small groups. This is the first time I have posted in this forum. Please let me know if there is something I should do differently. BTW, the template I have pictured was made from a card I received from Jennifer Thomas many, many moons ago.
My sample:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Slider Card
Bottom layer: 5 (Black layer in attachment)
Middle layer: 5 x 2 (layer doesn't show in attachment)
Top layer: 5 x 4 (white layer in attachment)
All extra cutting and scoring is on top layer. You may wish to stamp the top layer - the trees in my sample - before cutting or scoring. That way your image won't be "interrupted" by the score lines. The stamping on the middle layer is the Christmas message; the stamping on the bottom layer is the snowmen. The middle and bottom layer can be stamped after the card is constructed. I find that placement of the images is easier then.
1) Cuts (vertical): starting 3/4" from the top, make a cut 3/4" in from each (long) side all the way through to the bottom.
2) Scoring (horizontal): between the cuts score at 3/4" from top, 2 5/8" from top, and 3/4" from bottom. Fold along these score lines: middle fold should be mountain; top and bottom folds will be valley.
3) Attach top layer to the middle layer at the bottom 3/4" between the cuts (I usually put 1" sticky tape here). The middle layer should be a little wider - just make sure a little sticks out on either side.
4) Attach the top layer to the bottom layer at the the long edges on both sides (I add 1" sticky tape at the top of both of these sides). Add ribbon at top to pull. Thin ribbon works best.
Let me know if you have questions...
