Default Box Card

Okay- I am going to post the instructions here, because I am not sure I would be able to type them out correctly! I will post with pictures to help explain!!

Box Card-Need 8 1/2 x 11" piece of printer paper
Cut paper down to 10 1/2, and fold into thirds- 1st pic
Then fold each flap over like "french doors"- 2nd pic
Then Flip over, and fold back (not bothering your "french doors")points like "airplane wings", and then repeat on the bottom portion as well. 3rd pic

Okay then unfold you "airplane wings", flip back over to front side, and pull down the top right corner to make like a "party hat" kinda fold. Do this on all four corners. (1st & 2nd pic)
Which should then look like the 3rd picture....

Then flip over again to the backside (leaving your last folds in tact), and fold down the tabs, and then the opposite direction. (1st pic) *Make sure to make a strong crease on that fold
The flip over to the front side again, and kinda undo down all of your flaps (2nd & 3rd pic) and then make sure the fold in pic 1 gets pointed inward.

Then take your right "french door", and fold over left door. (1st pic)
then pulling the top right section and folding down. (2nd pic)
Do the same for the bottom right as well.
Then fold the door back over, and fold the left side over the right, and do the same on the left as you did on the right.
After you have folded the flaps down, unfold the left door over the right and they should be back to looking something like they did in the 3rd pic of the first post.
Your finished dimensions should be 3 1/2 x 5 1/4, and
I finished it up with brushed silver cs on the backside, and designer paper on the front flaps, just enought to cover all the white plain paper. You really do need some type of CS for strenth on the back side. I then made the front closure and just adhered it to the right side only.
I hope these work for you, it did take a couple of try's before I got it right, and make sure to make GOOD CREASES on your folds!!!!!!!

I found another site with good directions that might be helpful too: http://drstamping.com/boxcard.html

Thanks so much for the wonderful directions! I was eventually able to figure it out ( got a little lost at the end). I added a piece of cardstock to the bottom of my box to frame it. I wrote the message on the back of that bottom cardstock for my daughters birthday. Here's the links if you'd like to see:

I have been trying to look at your card in the gallery but have had no luck.
Thanks for posting your link also. I had found one earlier, but it was way harder than what I came up with!! Dr Stamping has better visuals too!
I have used printer paper for the "box" part, and also added cs to the back of it for strength.
