Default photo sharing program

wondering what photo program is good for sharing photos, the files are large enough that my server only allows maybe one picture to be sent via email at a time and I have 17 from a family reunion taken by a hobby photographer

For stuff I want to share, I upload to Google Photos. Then once the album isn't private, you can either invite people directly or use a link to share access. But if the files are larger and the server slow, is that going to be a problem with all online options? What about putting them on DVDs. If an online album will work, there are plenty of options other than Google.

Also, could you resize the files? If they're purely for online viewing it should be possible to make them smaller.

I have used Google Photos and Google Drive as well as Dropbox.com. If they're pictures someone might want prints of, you can also upload to photo printing sites like Snapfish and share albums from there.

Second vote for Google Drive or Dropbox. If you're dealing with files too big to handle comfortably via e-mail, then a file sharing service is what you need. Presumably downsizing the resolution isn't an option, as the recipients are going to print them?

Google Drive is more general. You can put any kind of file there, while Photos only takes pictures/video and has a few more photo-centric options like Albums. It also has a simpler interface. Either works, so use whatever feels more comfortable for you.

I tend to have a lot of different kinds of files to pass around, so I use Drive mostly.

You are wanting to keep the files large so they can be printed by whomever you shared them with? If so, I'd just upload to a photo printing site that's convenient for all. You could use Snapfish for mail orders and even Walgreens and CVS for local pickup (and mailing). Then let them know where the album is . Smaller-sized files to places that are for sharing to view online. That's just me though.
