Question Photo Editing Software Recommendations

I'd like to help a sweet downline member to become fluid in editing her phone photos of card projects. She's so talented and is finally willing to share her work on our FB group, but has no editing software. Computer savvy is not her style at all, and she has no one available at home who can help. So ... I'd love to bring her over to get her going on her own. I've edited a few photos & watermarked for her periodically, but shyness has given way to being willing to step on out a bit. YAY!

I use PhotoShop Elements. Far too much for her to learn ... And, her DH is against spending for such things. So, she needs something that is:
  • free
  • easy to learn
  • easy to use
  • hopefully can download to her android phone.
Is there such a program that I can assist her in learning? I'm not Ms. Techy Guru myself, but can teach easy basics that are low-level. LOLOL

After quite a bit of research and trying a couple of different apps, I use Snapseed, from Google, on my phone. It's mostly fairly intuitive and has a lot of presets as well as letting you make manual adjustments. You can crop, rotate, sharpen, adjust the white balance, curves etc. I don't think you can add your own watermark but it has a text option with a wide variety of preset fonts and formats, which can be pinched to size and dragged into a corner. I'm sure there are loads of online tutorials available for it, though half an hour playing around is enough to learn most of it. Sharpening is one of the less obvious tools, IMO. It's free and suitable for Android.

I will! This is a perfect "reason" for her to get to come back over here for an afternoon.
