Question Canon Pixma Printer?

If you have used or own the Canon Pixma Wireless Printer, would you recommend it for gift giving or for scrapbookers? Your shared experience is appreciated!

Wow! It's been forever since I have been on this website. Busy with family issues. But, when we had an anniversary reunion for our in laws, I set up a 'scrapbook making' room so each family could print out their pictures from the occasion while we were all still there. I bought this printer and it worked fabulously! My son borrowed it for a mission trip he was taking to Mexico so they could give pictures to the kids! Again, it was perfect!!!! I love it for times like this. I have a large printer for my at home, normal printing. But this one works great.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one, Jill! I've spotted this one being promoted this Christmas season .... and seriously consider something specifically for pics ... leaving my all-in-one copier, etc. for scanning & copies. But of course, that would be 'shopping for self' .... rather than finishing up actual gift shopping.

Thumbs up Update!

Update!
I recently purchased a Pixma ... not so much for printing photos, but for printing digital stamps!

Only since working with online coloring classes have I truly 'needed' to use digi stamps. I've used a few before, but we had a laser printer at that time and it was fine. Fast forward >> 2018 >> laser printer died a terminal death. After much asking, reading, checking ... I settled on a Canon Pixma in large part due to the Canon ink ... and the low cost of the printer. Their ink works just fine with alcohol markers, such as Copics. Yaaaaaay! I got one with a top-load feather that will accept my heavier weight Neenah cardstock ... NO problem!

Great! Glad to read this, Bev, as DH got a PIXMA so he can print CDs, but suddenly the cartridges in my old HP have become inexhaustible....I'm still waiting for them to run out , as I don't have space to set two up.

Sabrina, apparently the Canon ink formula is rather unique in that it plays well with Copics, etc. Having had the same printers here for several years, it took the demise of our laser printer for me to explore/research and discover this. Digitals from our other/older inkjet cannot be used for coloring with Copics ... what a mess.

"Progress" ... this is a good thing! LOL

Edited to add: In my post above (#4) the word 'feather' should actually be "feature"!

Does it work on watercolor (WC) paper? Iíve got a laser printer and the ink smudges on WC paper.
