MISTI Monday December 2021 Challenge
Challenge Title: December to Remember
Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP52 Date: December 6th, 2021 Welcome to the last MISTI Monday challenge of 2021. What a year! I want to sincerely thank you for participating in the challenges and being so supportive of one another. It makes my heart smile when I see your posts, not only to enter the challenge, but the kind and supportive words you have for each other. I have come to love this MISTI Monday family. I believe we did this last year in December, but I'd love for you to enter a new card using your favorite challenge theme from this year. You can go to the forum and scroll down the challenges to remind yourselves of the themes. My favorite challenge was October's 50th Celebration, where we needed to use gold in our card(s). https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.spl...f6313a1035.jpg I've used stamps, stencils and dies from The Greetery to create my new card using gold details. I used my MISTI to precisely layer the stencils and dies to create this beautiful floral birthday card. The numbers are made from gold paper from Tim Holtz and there's also gold embossing powder on the details of the green leaves. I really love using metallic details in my cards....especially gold. So what was your favorite card challenge this year? I can't wait to see you all revisit the themes and create something new. May you all have a wonderful Christmas! My eldest will be home from California on December 30th for a couple days. So, my Christmas will just be starting at the New Year. All my love and Christmas blessings, MISTI Monday. UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. All MISTI Monday Challenge Entries must be uploaded to your member gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than Friday, December 31st, at Midnight, Central Time to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to the My Sweet Petunia store! The winner will be announced on Monday, January 3rd. 2. You may combine this challenge with other challenges, and also have multiple entries. Please use a full description on either how you used your MISTI or, if you don't own a MISTI, how you would have loved to incorporate its help! 3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. |
MISTI Monday my first thought without even looking at challenges in 2021 was the gold challenge! I even have paper already in mind that I found this past week when I was organizing my cardstock & DP to prepare for an order I placed on the weekend...
You know how that goes...you buy something on sale but then you don't have space for it so you have to buy something to hold the items...but hey, the savings helped pay for the item! Win, win!!!! |
I love your gold card and thought that too would be my challenge card for this month.
Thanks for allowing all of us to see your beautiful cards every month and your generosity each month with the giving spirit! |

I combined two favorite challenges in this card. I love square cards and the March challenge was to make a square card. I also love wreath cards. This challenge was in September. Thanks for the wonderful challenges this year. |
This was a fun challenge. I chose to combine the challenges from 2 months.

I have so enjoyed looking at everyone's creations. Thanks to all, especially My Sweet Petunia for sponsoring this challenge and Misti Monday for hosting. Merry Christmas

I've thought they were 2 different people...I'm happily participating whether or not I win (many people would say I already have more than enough MSP supplies but in my opinion I can always use another MISTI :lolo:) I stand corrected because you of all people should know! |
Here is my gold card for this challenge https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=31342
I know that the middle piece is a smidge larger than the others, I already had tape on the back (and I load my cards with tape) so I couldn't do anything about it. I am sure that the recipients won't notice that detail. |
I gold embossed three cards with the sweet Holiday Tapestry stamp set from Gina K Designs. This is a link to the picture of the three cards in my gallery and I also uploaded an individual picture of each card:
Holiday Tapestry I need to use my Misti when I emboss in order to get perfect coverage. Thanks for a fun look-back theme this month. Happy New Year to All--Bring on 2022! |
I found a little time to play today and made these two cards. The challenge that came to my mind was the one where we were to use patterned paper. The second card also uses yellow as part of the design, which was the challenge a different month.
Thinking of you, in purple, and thinking of you, in blue and yellow. |
I made one more. This was for a VSN challenge but then I realized it also met the MISTI challenge to use texture on a card. Winter wonderland.
|
And yet another, Frosty and friends. This works for the "add texture" challenge.

Winner of December 2021 MISTI Monday challenge
Hello everyone and hello 2022! I hope you all had an enjoyable month and I hope you got to spend some time with those you love. Unfortunately, my dad passed away right before Christmas, so my December was not that great. I did get to see my daughter and her fiancé, though, as they flew in from CA for the holiday.
The winner for December's challenge is stampandweave's Winter Wonderland card. She revisited the challenge of including a house on your card. Thanks so much, everyone, for taking time in December to participate in the challenge. I wanted to answer a question I saw on the challenge thread about who sponsors this challenge. My Sweet Petunia has generously taken over the sponsorship of the challenge prize. I'm not sure what month that happened, but it's no longer me. While I continue to host the challenge, as always, the prize now comes from Iliana. She's just the most generous person I've ever met! I hope that cleared things up! Thank you so much for participating every month! All my best to you and yours! Especially for a healthy 2022. MISTI Monday |
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing! I’m glad your daughter and her fiancé got to come for a visit.
I’m very excited to win this month. Thank you for the challenge. |
Sorry about your Dad passing. Congratulations stampandweave! You had beautiful cards in the challenge.
|
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Congrats to the winner. |
MISTI Monday, sorry for your loss with your dad.
Thank you for explaining why I was confused...hadn't been told the new information about MSP, maybe I've been around too long! Congrats to stampandweave on a win...in my opinion you can never have too many MISTI's! |

I am playing Challenge "Catch-up"cardmaking, from really old to fairly new. This is a February birthday card for a dear friend & cardmaking buddy!
With my "catch-up" challenge card, I chose May's "Tiny Texture" challenge and made my texture with white heat embossed flowers and glitter. Here is my card: February Birthday Happiness! |
