MISTI Monday August 2022 Challenge
Challenge Title: Mini Stamp Set Card
Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP59 Date: August 1, 2022 Welcome to August's challenge! It's so great to be here this month. The summer is winding down, as all the local fairs have begun where I live. It's always the sad signal that summer is ending soon. I hope you all had a good June and July. Thanks for all your support and patience recently. Things are starting to settle down a bit. The card I'm sharing this month was made from a very tiny stamp set from Colorado Craft Company. They have some of the cutest critter stamps, featuring art by Anita Jarem. I'm not sure about you, but all the little "mini" stamp sets I get are too small for my storage system, so they usually end up in a box, tucked away, and I never use them. Most of them have been Thank You sets in my orders, or swag from attending events, or have been given to me as gifts. I always find some real gems in that box and tell myself to make cards with them, but ultimately, never do. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.spl...8075909a52.jpg This stamp set had four little images. But when it came in the mail, I had to use it right then! Probably because I felt like I was treading water all month, with just my nose above water. Your Challenge for August is to take a very small, or mini, stamp set you've had stashed somewhere, and make a card ONLY using the stamps in that set. I added some texture with a background cover plate die and some sequins for bling. I hope you have fun this month and get a chance to put out a little stamp set that's been waiting for you. Thanks for participating! PS: Since I didn't have a July challenge, we will be picking TWO winners this month! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. All MISTI Monday Challenge Entries must be uploaded to your member gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than Wednesday, August 31st, at Midnight, Central Time, to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to the My Sweet Petunia store! The winner will be announced on Monday, September 5th. 2. You may combine this challenge with other challenges, and also have multiple entries. Please use a full description on either how you used your MISTI or, if you don't own a MISTI, how you would have loved to incorporate its help! 3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. |
Hmm...a tiny set...wonder if I have such a thing! Nothing comes to mind but it won't hurt to look through the catalogs I've made myself and see what I can locate.

What a fun theme. Love your card!
|
Love the card! I own a lot of Gina K Designs mini sets. Those are probably the tiniest sets I have. Looking forward to creating!

What a fun challenge--thanks!

Great idea for a challenge Misti Monday! I've been so busy all summer, I haven't done very many of the weekly challenges, other than the DTGD challenges because I was one of the hostesses. I look forward to creating a card this month. I have used my Misti for lots of the DTGD cards!

Here's my card for this month's challenge to use mini stamp sets. I have lots of Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps that are very tiny. I used my Misti to position the verse.

Those little stamps are so hard to stamp but not with the MISTI. Got them to stay in place using a longer sheet of leftover water color paper, then cut it to size afterwards! Thank goodness for MISTI magnets!! Worked out so well that the Alpha Challenge this week is also to use little stamps for the letter "L"! Fantastic challenge! |
Thank you!

Thanks for the challenge to use some smaller sets. Here's my card
https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=31342 Have several of these little girl sets... |
The stamp has 3 tiny parts that make it easy to use 3 different ink colors. The MISTI makes it easy to perfectly line up the 3 parts. https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=23746

Thought I’d make a card to enter. It’s posted in my gallery, but I don’t know how to link it here, so thought I’d post it here, too.
I used the MISTI to get all those itty bitty stamps lined up and placed where I wanted them. The smallest stamps in the set are about 1/8 inch. The set is A World of Octobers by Picket Fence Studios. The background was laying on my desk, waiting to be used. I created it by blotting up leftover ink from a recent play with water coloring, using Catherine Pooler inks. |

I did use the keyword with the submission to my gallery. Thank you, Lisa! I’m excited about entering. I could use a new MISTI if I win. Lol!

I have had the set used in this card sitting out for a few weeks waiting to be used. It is a very small set, so I finally created a card with it.

Paulette, you are on a roll girl! Lots of tiny stamp cards. I need to take pics of mine and upload them. I'm slow at uploading mine on SCS.

Hi all....I thought I would do a card for this months challenge with small stamps.
Here is my card.... https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=43860 I don't own a Misti.....but, it certainly would come in handy when you have to do the image a couple of times. |
August 2022 MISTI Monday Challenge Winner(s)
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Monday. In the United States, we celebrate Labor Day today. I hope if you celebrate, it was a relaxing day full of labor free time.
I promised that I'd draw two winners from last month's entries because I didn't post a July Challenge. So the winners from July, randomly drawn, are parknslide's Best Wishes card and SuzyS1104's Buzzing Bye card. You guys did really great with the 'tiny' stamp sets in your collection! Awesome designs by everyone! Thank you so much for participating in August and I hope you all enjoyed the challenge. I'm off to post the September challenge. I'll privately message the winners for their info and load their $50 gift certificates to their accounts. Happy September! MISTI Monday |
This is a wonderful surprise! Thank you for the fun challenge and for offering such a generous prize. It was a fun theme and my attendance at a five day retreat in August gave me the opportunity to submit several cards. Doing the Happy Dance…
