WAIT - I'm not SUPPOSED to go out in public covered with paint???

Sometimes I do wonder what people think when I've been using a lot of red paint

LOL Lydia! I am always going out covered in paint and ink! Though I am sure if I had to go to work every day I would put more effort into keeping my hands (and arms) cleaned up!

It seems perfectly normal to me LOL

I recently met an on line friend when we visited the town we are moving to in 2 weeks. LOVELY LOVELY woman that likes MM. We met for dinner..and she had dylusions all over her hands. Cracked me up. I said.." what ink were you using" ..she laughed and said that she often wondered what people thought when she went somewhere after using red inks LOL
I think I will really like hanging out with her LOL

I think so! She is so funny and creative! We are planning to take a few classes down there at a local store. They have some great teachers there pretty often! I am so excited.

Just this past weekend I started my very first art journal. I got together with a friend who has been doing it for quite some time, and she gave me a great idea. I already purchased a Dyan Reaveley journal, but quite frankly was afraid of messing it up with my first attempts. She shared that she started with a plain old composition book, and I just happen to have a few of those on hand! I went through and used mod podge to glue two pages together to make a thicker single page, then tore out a page, glued the next two, etc through the book. Then applied gesso to the pages for extra strength, and started playing. This is working really well for me as I try out my mixed media supplies for the first time with no stress of ruining a nice book until I at least a little more about what I am doing.

I I think I have tried using anything with pages. Goodwill, thrift stores, flea markets a,ways score some good books to use, too. And for loose paper try using that scrap paper you have had for years and never will use.
