I combined 2 challenges from http://www.arttothe5th.com/the-documented-life-project/. Here is my monochromatic page with an inspirational quote. I totally stepped out of my box with these colors, because I wanted to make it even more challenging. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. (I didn't post the actual photo because it's huge, and I didn't have time to re-size it.)
Jeanette add me to that is beautiful club. I love the numbers like crazy. I really love how you blended your quotes into the page. It is such a lovely effect.
I found out last night about the documented life project. Ran into it by accident. I was watching You Tube videos last night on collecting journals. Written journals not art journals and there was documented life. I spent time looking at that site too. Seriously nice site.
Thanks so much, ladies! The numbers in the background and the white/molding paste numbers were made with stencils. The black numbers were made with clear stamps. You know what's funny? Those small numbers that I stamped around the border were made with a $1 set of clear stamps that I almost threw away. It turns out that I really like them! Thanks again for the compliments and encouragement. I love this forum!
I love how your page turned out too and the quotes you wrote on the page. Must be the colors of the week or something, I just did one in similar colors.
I must say the actual coming up with something to "say" on my pages is really hard, I've never keep a diary or anything, more of a keep it to myself kind of person. So letting go and expressing myself is not second nature.
Thanks, Stacy! I know what you mean about coming up with things to say. Sometimes I have an idea in my head, but this time I let the design inspire the quotes. I was using number stencils, so my mind started to drift that way. I'd love to see your page.

Oh Jeanette, I think you got me hooked on this DLP project. I joined their FB page and am following a couple of their blogs. I picked up a Canson Mixed Media journal book at Walmart for $6.99 and am starting at the beginning of their weekly challenges. I am not making their journal. I have decided that my art journaling pages are a lot more simpler than many of theirs, but there is so many great ideas to be found on the pages they share.
I also plan to follow the friday challenge here on SCS for my other journaling book. Sometimes I need to structure the challenges offer.
