Challenge Title: Stuck in a Stencilling Rut?
Hostess: peeps321 (Polly)
Keyword: MIX229
I love a fabulous stencilled background. If you're like me, you might have a lot of stencils and only use them from time to time. So today I would like you to get out your stencils and put them to use! If you don't have any stencils you can make your own by die cutting or punching shapes out of a sturdy piece of paper. Here comes the rub....I want you to step outside of your usual routine. So if you typically just sponge ink through a stencil I would like you to try a different technique. I'm hoping you find many ways to use your stencils.
Challenge: Use a stencil technique on your card but....choose one you haven't tried before or had little experience with. Here are some suggestions:
I've linked some of these ideas to the tutorial section. I chose to use liquid pearls on one of my samples. It was fun and gave me a really shiny background. See my card write up for tips on that technique.
Remember to use at least two or more different mediums on your project. See this post for some ideas. Also make sure to put MIX229 in the keyword section.
Polly this was a fun challenge!! I knew I had some giraffes so I wanted to find a stencil to match them and I did - couldn't believe my luck when I found it!!

So, I have er... ( more than I want to admit stencils...) and I really don't play with them, so this was a good timely kick in the rear... (because, I have ordered more of them)
anyways, I finally, FINALLY found a crackle paste that crackles for me...
and I didn't have to do anything to it, just smooshed it on and waited for drying.
so, here is a first attempt at Oxide inks/ crackled paste stenciled.
