My challenge for you today is to do burned glue technique.
It is a fun way to add texture to your mixed media project. I really like using it for the centers of flowers.
You stamp your flower and add some glue and heat it with your heat gun.
This video shows me burning Aleene's Tacky Glue
When heated, the glue starts to bubble and add texture. After the burned glue cools, I take a black sharpie marker and color the glue.
I tried it with Gesso.
I tried it with Elmer's school glue
I hope you will give this fun technique a try. Make sure your project has more than 2 different types of mediums to make it mixed media.
I look forward to seeing your creations.
