Welcome to another mixed media challenge week here in the Mix-Ability forum!
Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! No matter what your style is - you can DO it!
The challenge this week is to make unusual borders on your project whether it's around your focal point or along an edge.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Stamped embossing powders - effect here.
- hot glue stick melted and painted - tutorial here.
- twigs from recent pruning leftovers
- scraps from botched projects glued together (Bargello or random)
- tears - tutorial here.
- doodle on pattern paper or monoprints and cut it out
Remember to use at least two mediums to be in the mixed media arena and if you're wondering what mixed media is, stop by our What is the Mix-Ability Challenge to learn more!

MIX220 Golden Frame
This is mine. The base layer was actually a reject from earlier this morning when I accidentally got red onto what was intended to be a soft summer sky! And that, with your challenge, was my jumping-off point for the card.
Thank you for the challenge, I think this is one of the most difficult challenge for me each week, I don't know if I like my card or not...I will listen what you think about this
