Title: Find your calm

Challenge: what represents your calm place? For me, I love the change of clamorous sound to the muted hollow tones of being submerged. It also forces me to focus on my breathing and bubbling out the things causing strife as I exhale. I really miss living near the ocean. So share what works for you as you create this week. Have fun!

I've shared my process in the photos below - lay down random color in my art journal using my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I broke these areas into pebbles that might line a pool. Then I fussy cut the lady and added bubbles, with Viva modeling cream in pearl, as she relaxes into her water world. I reinforced the colors with markers, and added shadows with Copic markers.

Remember to use two or more mediums on your card. Make sure to put MIX582 in the keyword section.

I planned my front garden with plants that are butterfly friendly and deer resistant. It is well established now, and I can look forward every summer to masses of butterflies on my flowers. It's a calm and peaceful place.
Here is my card.

Today is my fist stamping day since last week, so I have combined this with MariLynn's MIX today.
But I too love the ocean and miss it.
