Happy Mix-Ability day! I watched this reel the other day that inspired this week's challenge - this concept is actually inspired by a form of art therapy called neurographic art.... I don't know much about the theories behind it, but if it's good for our mental health I'm all in! I'd love to learn more.

I used a black OLO chisel marker to draw my lines. You can start with a shape - inspired by the reel, I started with a heart. If you don't want to draw a heart, choose another shape, or just move on to drawing lines from edge to edge. The lines can be straight or squiggly or curved. For this challenge, make sure they cross over each other quite a bit, to create intersections.
For the next step, use a finer marker to round each pointy corner created by intersecting lines. I used a fine Sharpie here. You can keep your rounding close to the corner or come out further if you like. I should have rounded the places where the lines meet the edge of the panel too - next time I'll remember. The last step is to color in the background. You can color each section individually or color in several sections at once, let colors bleed and blend around the panel, or a combination of all those techniques! I did a combination on mine.Use your panel to complete a card or other project.Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HERE for a list of possible supplies.

Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX576) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!

I am late to the party, but really really wanted to try this! I am definitely going to try this some more, it was lots of fun to just squiggle it up, and I was initially sure I'd wrecked it, but was super happy with how it turned out. Thanks, Dini, for a great challenge and fun new technique to try.

Here's my: Fracture Heart
