Happy Mix-Ability day! For this week's challenge, I was inspired by our national holiday this week, and a little ditty called Stars and Stripes Forever - I love those dear old marches!
To play along, make a mixed media card that has some stripes or paper strips on it, and at least one star. It doesn't have to be a patriotic card!! Just get those elements in there. And remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX336) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can come ooh and ahh!
I must admit when I saw stars and stripes I first thought, again...but finally my card from today works for this challenge too, I've got stars and the grass goes for stripes
for this mixability challenge of stripes and stars- I used green and blue shades for my paper pieced background made with recycled ticket shapes- adding repurposed rabbit-vegetable snack envelopes that I sewed on top. Added a stamped and watercolored tomato with a black shadow style background- and veggie sentiments. Finished with a trio of stars. Here's tomatoes and peppers

I'm working on my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking goal, plus my 2022 Christmas card stash.
My theme is not patriotic, which wasn't necessary, but Christmas. It has vertical gold and patterned paper strips for strips and many stars. My mediums: Distressed gold metallic dsp, stamping ink, Copic marker (gem coloring), and rhinestones.
