Default Tim Holtz die cuts

Hello everyone, I am currently setting up my new craft room and I am looking for storage ideas for my Tim Holtz dies.

I store all my dies the same way. I cut up magnetic vent covers and pop a piece cardboard for stability into a pocket with the dies. Some people use the Avery elles...I use a much cheaper one from Amazon.

Do you have a way you store your other dies that you like? If so, the Tim dies can be stored the same way. : )

If not, I store my Tim dies in the sturdy pockets they come in in bins - just like my other dies are in pockets in bins by category. I add a piece of inexpensive white cardstock to each pocket so if I make extra die cuts, I slip them on the opposite side of the cardstock from where the dies are.

I only use magnetic sheets for a few dies, and in fact may pull them. The dies aren’t harmed by being loose and that’s how some companies ship them, including the Tim Holtz dies by Sizzix if I’m not mistaken.

This saves me a lot of space and weight. And I don’t like the extra step of carefully placing dies back on the mag sheets and slipping the sheets back into the pocket. Too many steps. lol But some people like putting all their dies on mag sheets.

The website isn’t allowing photos to be uploaded to the message thread right now, but here‘s a link to a photo in the gallery in case you want to see it.

Enjoy -
Beth

This older thread had some great ideas on storing dies (among other things). You may find it helpful: organization t630328.html

Bjeans made a good point. A lot of TH dies come in plastic things you can use-I just pop those into my die box often.
